Chapter Nineteen

-Kenny's POV: Time Skip, 2 weeks after the accident-

It's been two weeks since the accident, the doctor's were able to stabilize y/n during surgery but she still hasn't woken up

I have spent almost the entire two weeks by her side

I leave to go to school and then come back here, sleeping in the chair beside her bed, just eating hospital food

The doctor's weren't sure whether or not she would wake up, but we remained hopeful, her parents came by once a day, but they didn't stay long since her mom would breakdown

She couldn't bare to see her this way- and I didn't blame her

The boys have come by almost everyday, with the occasional visit from Wendy and Heidi

Last week was Clyde's funeral- which barely anyone went to

After his death his parents went through his phone and found a ton of evidence for what had happened between him and y/n- the news picked up the story so almost the whole town knew what had happened now

Y/n would not be happy about this when she wakes up- because even though the news blurred out the photos- they were still on the news for the whole town to see

I just wish that she would wake up- I missed having my best friend

It was a Friday so I didn't have to worry about leaving the hospital for a few days, so I decided to go home after school in order to pack a bag

When I walked in a heard screaming and yelling from my parent's room, Karen was crying on the couch, no sign of Kevin, I sighed walking over to Karen, "it's okay Kar" I said rubbing her back

"Can you stay with me tonight?" she choked out between tears

"Karen you know I can't" I sighed "what if y/n wakes up?"

"Please Kenny" she pleaded "just for tonight"

I heard the fighting getting louder in the bedroom, I really shouldn't leave her here by herself, "okay- just for tonight" I said "but tomorrow you need to sleep at a friend's" 

"T-thank you" she said hugging me

-Y/n's POV-

I slowly opened my eyes, hearing the familiar sound of a beeping monitor 

I looked around at the dark empty room, how long have I been here? what time is it?

I shifted my gaze and saw a button labeled 'Doctor' and decided to press it

A nurse came running frantically into the room, and quickly began yelling, "SHE'S AWAKE" she continued "CALL THE PARENTS" 

My head was pounding and her yelling was certainly not helping

"Sorry dear" she said walking towards me, adjusting my sheets

"Uh- what's going on" I asked "last thing I remember was watching myself in surgery- then everything went white"

"Sweetie that was two weeks ago" she replied "your family will be here soon" she grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze before walking out of the room

-Kenny's POV-

I was woken up to my phone ringing, 'Incoming Call from Y/n's Mom'

I quickly answered, crossing my fingers that she was okay, "Kenny! She's awake!"

"On my way!" I said hanging up, throwing on the closest thing I could find, before running out the door

I looked down at my phone- 4:00am- I shouldn't have stayed home- but Karen needed me- Hopefully y/n understands
