Chapter 15 Jaan Se Bhi Jyada

Eight hours have already passed, Sammar still hasn't gained consciousness. Everyone was getting worried. Pari and Anu has gone to the temple. Devansh was looking after everything in the office, home and hospital as sameer was in no condition to handle anything. Sammer and Sam were sitting in the room with Sammar. Just then a doctor came inside and checked sammar's vitals. There is no improvement. Though he was stable now but it was indispensable for him to gain consciousness in a few hours or the situation can take a turn for the worst. Doctor asked sameer to follow him outside. Sameer left the room with the doctor.

Doctor "Mr.rathod 8ghante beet chuke Hai, sammar ki halat me koi sudhaar nahi hai. Agar usse kuch ghanto me hosh nahi aata hai to he may slip into coma or something even worse can happen.

Sameer " Is there anything else that you can do for him doctor?"

Doctor shook his hand head and said "hum jo bhi kar sakte the kar chuke hai Mr. Rathod. "

Pls beta utth ja, gale lagale mujhe, mujhe bhaiya kehke bula. Pls sammar agar Tu nahi uthega to tera ye bhai bhi ji nahi payega beta. Pls utth ja. I love you so much beta. Utth jaa pls" Saying this he broke down crying and pressed sammar's hand to his lips.

Just then he felt a little movement in sammar's fingers, sameer looked up at him just to find sammar flinching. Sameer pressed the nurse call button immediately. "Sammar beta can you hear me, aankhe khol bachcha, try kar beta, pls open your eyes."

A team of doctors and nurses rushed inside and checked sammar. He was trying to open his eyes and was trying to say something. In some time he opened his eyes, but flinched at the light. He whispered "bhaiya" painfully. Sameer immediately came closer and held his hand "yahi hu beta, yahi hu main"

Sammar again whispered "aap sach me pyaar karte ho na mujhse"

Sammar closed his eyes aa a relief washed over him and then let out a whimper. Sam also entered the room.

Sam "sammar kya hua bachcha, Tu theek hai na? "

Sammar "bohut dard ho raha hai bhaiyu,. Ahhh" He let out a painful but low scream and clutched his eyes shut.

Doctors gave him a mild sedative and he went back to sleep.

Sameer "ye fir behosh kyun ho gaya doctor, wo theek hai na? Kya hua hai isse?"

Doctor "don't worry Mr. Rathod, we have sedated him. Wo ab bas so raha hai, he will up in 3-4 hours. You guys can relax. He is out of danger now."

Sameer let out a breath that he didn't knew that he was holding. He thanked the doctor and hugged Sam who was standing beside him crying the tears of relief. "Ab mat ro bachcha, he is fine now. Kuch nahi hua hai hamare bhai ko, wo bilkul theek hai"

After sometime pari and anu also came back. They already got to know that sammar is out of danger now. All four of them hugged each other to assure themselves and the others.

Pari "Sam bachcha ja, anu ke saath canteen se jakar kuch kha le."

Sam "ek baar sammar uth jaye bhabhi, fir usse baat karke kha lunga"

Pari "beta it's been more than 24 hours since you guys have eaten anything, sammar ke uthne ke baad use sambhalne ke liye hum sabka theek rehna jaruri hai na, ja kuch kha kar aa fir tere bhaiya ko khana khilana hai."

Sam nodded and went to canteen along with anu without any further argument.
Once they were alone, both sameer and pari engulfed each other, they cried, smiled and assured each other that their kid is fine like there is no tomorrow.

2days passed, sammar was improving by the hour. Sammar just woke up, he was under the effect of heavy pain killers, so he wasn't being able to stay awake for more than 2-3hours at a time. Today he was getting discharged. He was still a little droopy. Still he gave a brilliant smile to see his whole family with him.

Pari was the first one to hug him "dubara kabhi aise mat darana bachcha, hamari to jaan hi nikal gayi thi, agar tujhe kuch ho jata to hum sab bhi nahi jee pate beta." And a few years escaped her eyes.

Sammar saw her and said "sorry bhabhi, aap please mat ro, aap aise karoge to mujhe bhi rona aa jayega."

Sam "Tu to hai hi cry baby, tujhe to moka chahiye rone ka."

Sammar "bhaiya dekho na, bhaiyu pareshaan kar rahe hai"
