Light beamed through my curtains making me crack my eyes open. I begin to recreate what happened last night at the beach. In disgust I rub my tired eyes and stretch making a dinosaur yawn in the process. not cute I know.

Removing my duvet sheets I realized I was still in the mint bikini Tyler gave to me. I Guess Caleb carried me up to my room, he is such a good friend. I head towards the shower to wash my sorrow away and to feel fresh again.

Taking a look at myself in the mirror I know Gavin was set up by that douche bag Tyler. He will never like me.

Don't say that.

I ignore that hopeful thought in my head. Putting my brown locks in a bun I pair it off with a white Guns N' Roses shirt and black Nike shorts. To make me smell delicious it's a habit I hate smelling dirty. I spray two pumps of Pink Sugar on me.

"Honey, I made pancakes!" My mother Joan smiled. She looks like a Hollywood mom, tall, lean, and long brown locks. She is way prettier than I am, hopefully I look like my mom when I'm 42.

"Thank you mom." Giving her a peck on the cheek.

"Oh, sweetie. That boy Ty, knocked on our door this morning asking for you. I didn't know you can attract some fine young men." She winks. Oh my god, gag.

I nearly choke on my pancake. My mom pats my back. "Mom! We aren't together, I hate him he hates me last night was a mistake. Plus I will never help him out again." I say harshly. My mom gives me a look meaning 'watch how you talk young lady'.

"Well, hate isn't healthy, what ever grudge or feud you two have is ridiculous. Honey, I know you are just as bad as him."

Please make me disappear.

I take a deep breath and I calmly respond, "Drop it mom I'm going over to Kendall's."

--

Approaching Kendall's two story home I knock. Her mom Linda opens the door and greets me with a hug. Making my way upstairs I see Kendall in her room taking what you like to call it, 'selfies'. Letting out a giggle I knock at her door startling her, "Jesus, Kai!" She gets up and smacks my arm then bear hugs me.

I told her what happened between Gavin and I plus my mom defending Tyler. She claps her hands together like a seal. "Gavin and Kai hm, not a big fan. But that is so cute! Your mom though." Kendall bursts out laughing.

Rolling my eyes, "Shut up Ken, My mom doesn't like me hating others. She is a 'peaceful' woman so for me hating Ty makes me just as bad as him."

"well, James' is taking Caleb and I to Red Waters Grill so you can tag along. It'll be fun. What do you say?" She grabs my hand squeezing it.

Red Waters Grill is a grill that most of North Woods students aka Tyler and Gavin's go to hang out and mingle. It's not my crowd.

I don't want to encounter that prick.

But I must for Kendall's sake.

"i- uh- ummm...."

Just say yes! Stop being a coward.

"Fine I will go. But I can't," I look down at my clothes and point, "Looking like this."

"Come on, since when does Kai care about how she looks? Her," She gets up from her queen sized bed and makes way to her dresser grabbing a pair of light coloured ripped jeans. "This will look so cute with you're shirt. Here is some white converse." She hands her items to me.

"Now go get dressed."

I have to admit Kendall is a fashion diva. The ripped skinny jeans she let me borrow hug my hips well.
