chapter fifty-one; the goblet of fire

1994

"Zo, it's so obvious who you like!" Thirteen-year-old Ginny Weasley said laughing. Despite being a young girl, Ginny was an extremely pretty girl, who had the typical traits of a Weasley. She had flaming red hair, which she wore in a long mane, and a freckled complexion. She was of light skin, a very petite stature, and bright brown eyes like her mother.

"What makes you think I like anyone?" Zoe asked laughing. Over the summer, Zoe became even more prettier, if that was possible. Her long red hair was cut and was now sitting just above her shoulders, her green eyes were glowing as she has rosy cheeks and had define cheekbones. She had a petite and thin hourglass figure and a loving look about her that made almost everyone fall in love with her.

"What about that guy you had a thing with last week?" Hermione asked. Hermione was also a pretty girl but didn't realise it. She had light skin, bright brown eyes, lots of bushy brown hair, and rather large front teeth.

Zoe and Hermione were staying at the Burrow with the Weasley's. It looked as though it had once been a large stone pigpen, but extra rooms had been added here and there until it was several stories high and so crooked it looked as though it were held up by magic. Four or five chimneys were perched on top of the red roof. A lopsided sign stuck in the ground near the entrance read, THE BURROW. Around the front door lay a jumble of rubber boots and a very rusty cauldron.

"I'm never going to see him again," Zoe said chuckling. "So it doesn't matter."

"Wait, did you sleep with him?" Ginny asked as Zoe couldn't help the grin growing in her face. "Oh my god you did!" The three girls burst out laughing.

"Hang on," Hermione said, "Harry will be so upset."

"Why?" Zoe asked confused as Duchess jumped onto her lap and purred softly.

"Because he's been in love with you since first year," Hermione said.

"What?" Zoe asked, "no he hasn't."

"He has," Hermione said, "it's so obvious." Zoe Alyssa could reply, there was an explosion of laughter came from below them.

"Saved by the boys," Ginny said chuckling.

"Shush," Zoe said, picking Duchess up.

The three girls got up and opened their bedroom door where they saw Mrs. Weasley rushing down the stairs towards the kitchen. The girls grinned at each other than followed Mrs. Weasley downstairs.

"Tell me what, Arthur?" the three girls heard as they walked into the kitchen doorway.

All three of the girls smiled at Harry, who grinned back, which made Ginny go scarlet, she had been very taken with Harry ever since his first visit to the Burrow. Harry's eyes lit up when he saw Zoe who smiled at him before kissing her cat on her head. Zoe looked around the kitchen and saw Ron and George were sitting at the scrubbed wooden table with Bill and Charlie, the two eldest Weasley brothers.

Charlie was built like the twins, but he was shorter and stockier than them, who were both long and lanky. He had a broad, good-natured face, which was weather-beaten and so freckly that he looked almost tanned. His arms were muscular, and one of them had a large, shiny burn on it. Bill was, there was no other word for it, cool. He was tall, with long hair that he had tied back in a ponytail. He was wearing an earring with what looked like a fang dangling from it. Bill's clothes would not have looked out of place at a rock concert, except that Zoe recognised his boots to be made, not of leather, but of dragon hide.
