Chapter 3 - 3 of spades

  

Chishiya awoke the next morning with his face plunged into his pillow, he rolled over to rub his eyes and start to get ready, but he was met with something totally random, Kuina was standing right above him. "Kuina, what are you doing" A sleepy Chishiya asked as he sat up and rubbed his eyes, Kuina didn't take her eyes off him and just completely ignored his question "hi" she said with a big smile plastered across her face. Chishiya wanted to hit her for just breaking into his room but he couldn't get mad at her for whatever reason that may be, surprisingly he slept in his normal outfit and only took it off to wash it "so, what exactly are you doing" he asked again still using his calm tone "I was checking up on you, I didn't see you last night so I got scared" Kuina said rubbing her arm and looked away, Chishiya just sighed and reassured her that everything was fine. "Head outside, I've got a meeting with the other executives in 15 minutes" Chishiya said as he headed towards the door of his room with Kuina swiftly following behind.

Chishiya entered the meeting hall to find most of the military core, Mira and hatter already prepared and seated, Chishiya sat down in his spot and waited for Hatter to start. "Well, this is the best we're getting. We only have a few cards left to get, 2, 3 and 6 of spades, 2 and 4 of clubs, 7 and 10 of hearts and finally the face cards but we don't know of their existence, you'll be sent out to get these. Some are taking place as we speak so get a move on" Hatter exclaimed as two other executives walked in holding 2 people who had been knocked out "Hatter, we found these two spying on the beach" One member of the military Corp said as he removed the two bags that were on their heads. Chishiya didn't want to get involved with this and just left to go find Kuina but stayed long enough to hear their names.

Kuina was outside the front of the beach trying to bask in the sun when she heard someone from behind her. "Kuina, let's go win a game, just us" Chishiya said standing over her, Kuina smiled and got up "You really know how to ruin my free time don't ya" she said jokingly, Chishiya smirk and grabbed her hand as he dragged her away from the beach and into Shibuya to the only open game venue.

Kuina and Chishiya arrived at an abandoned theme park that was shown to be the game venue, they stepped into the park and saw the red border outline the whole place, it was only them and one other person who they vaguely recognised. "Player acceptance time has expired" the announcing voice said "Game; Theme Park, Difficulty; 3 of spades, Time limit; none, Rules; reach the exit without dying" Chishiya looked at Kuina concerned but she reassured him that it's all going to be ok. Chishiya and kuina entered the main part of the park but got charged by someone dressed as a tiger who was holding a rifle, but he was suddenly stopped when his chest was cut open by the beach executive 'Takatora Samura'. "Samura?" Chishiya asked stupidly because it was obviously him, but it was just part of the moment. "The exit is at the other side of the park, follow my lead and you'll stay alive" Samura said as he started charging at a few other mascots who all held weapons, but he was too fast for them and sliced them all open, killing them instantly. Chishiya and Kuina looked on in disbelief, but they followed him anyway and in no time at all they had reached the exit and gained the 3 of spades card. Chishiya took the card and motioned for Kuina to follow him as they left Samura after thanking him for his help.

Chishiya and Kuina arrived back at the beach and made their way to the meeting room where they saw Hatter relaxing in his main chair. "Hatter, we got the 3 of spades" Chishiya announced which caused him to spring up and snatch the card out of his hand "Thank you Chishiya" Hatter said as he went to a box and placed the card inside motioning for them to leave. They both walked out and started talking about random things until Chishiya brought something interesting up "There's 2 new members here, Ryohei Arisu and Yuzuha Usagi, they could be useful to us" Kuina just looked at him puzzled "What's different about them to everyone else" Kuina asked with a hint of confusion in her voice, Chishiya shrugged and gave no proper response, Kuina just nodded and continued talking about random stuff.

Midnight was nearing but Chishiya had been called into a random executive meeting, every executive was in the meeting room so it must have been serious. Hatter stood from his chair and walked to his card mural on the wall "There are only 2 games left everyone, thanks to the new members we're now left with the 4 of clubs and the 10 of hearts. Tomorrow you all get an off day, I will participate in the next game" Hatter announced receiving good feedback from most of the executives except Aguni, Chishiya and Niragi who just stayed silent. Hatter was clearly aggravated by that and ushered for everyone to leave as he closed the doors on the card mural. Chishiya was the first to get up and leave out of sheer boredom, he didn't want to bother with anyone else that night and so he immediately went to his room and passed out right when he hit the bed.
