Chapter 2: Setting Up Base And Getting Answers

The Courier's POV:

(After what seem to be around 30 minutes of jogging in snow carrying a small robot that is humanoid. I found what looks to be a bunker inside of a cliffside and put down the robot, and my stealth boy finally goes off and walk to the terminal right beside the blast door and hack it,and open the blast door. I then pick up the robot go down a flight of stairs and set him down beside the stairs and close and lock the entrance.)

"Stay there buddy I am going to find where to activate the power to this place" says The Courier. Ok I am just going to take it easy and wait here said the worker drone to Six. I walk down the hallway and find two doors to the right labeled Generator room, and the water purification. And to my left the rooms are the living room, hydroponic room, and stairs to second floor. I go the Generator room and I find a switch and lift it up. The the power activates every part of the shelter is available for use I walk back to the robot to see if is still functioning he is, and gets up and limps to the living room. The bot almost falls over but I help him by letting him use my forearm as support to balance him. "Whoa now take it slow now it ain't a race" I say to the robot while I help him get to the living room bunk bed. The bot takes a seat on the bunk bed and hugs and saids "thank you who ever you are I thought I was not going to make it" as he sobbed on may shoulder with happiness. Then he says "by the way who are you stranger?" The top right of my Visor HUD shows that the oxygen level is safe so I take off my elite riot gear helmet showing my face. "You are a human?" says the Worker Drone with a surprised and a confused expression to his face.

But I thought that huma-, then I interrupted him. "I am going to be the ones asking the questions not you" Six says to the robot with a rash tone in my voice. "Ok ask away" the worker drone says to the Courier. First question, "what planet am I fucking on?" "The planet that you are on is named Copper-9 human" says the robot to Six, don't call me human call me by Six says the Courier. Second question,"who are you and what is your name?" "My name is James but my real name is Jameson I am what we call ourselves worker drones Six", says James. Ok third question James "what is your occupation" says the Courier, "if you want to know my occupation it is to maintenance the blast doors to protect ourselves from the Murder drones so I am basically a engineer." Explains why you are wearing a dark blue mechanic jumpsuit and blue hardhat, ok last question. "What was those things trying to kill you and how did you make out alive", "If want to know how about you let me rest a little says James. "You know I can do worse than what those monsters outside can do to you." Ok ok chill Six I will tell you just don't hurt me" says James with a fearful expression on his face. I was maintaining the doors outside the colony that we have with five my of my coworkers, then all of sudden those creatures called disassembly drones or murder drones attacked us and my other coworkers inside shut the doors on us. I was only able to make it out alive due to one of the Murder drones was busy sucking one of my coworkers clean dry.

So it seems that what we are facing against are what looks to be fallen angels versions of worker drones designed to exterminate every one of you for them to survive, am I correct? "Yes you are exactly right", says James with a surprised expression on his face. I have a question Six? "Shoot" says Six waiting for James while putting his helmet back on. "Do you work for the company" says James, "what do you mean by the company" says The Courier. JC-Jenson the company that made the worker drones? The Courier then says "the only thing that I know is that I connected to one their satellites." What how did you do that Six? The Courier then says "that is none of your concern what you to concern yourself about is how to protect yourselves from those monsters outside", with an serious tone in his voice. Oh so you do work for the company,am I right? "James stop assuming things it makes an ass out you and me alright" says The Courier. Was that a joke? "No it was not a joke buddy" said Six with a serious tone. So Six what are we going to do now that we are safe? I am going to go outside and scout after I teach you how to operate a 10mm pistol. "Why are you going to teach me that" says James with a curious tone in his voice. Because in case if anyone breaks in here when I am gone I want you to kill them on site plus I don't trust you to operate with a more powerful firearm. Ok teach me James says to Six with enthusiasm in his voice. That is the spirit James,ok let us get started.

Narrator POV:

(The Courier teaches James how to aim,shoot and know about his 10mm pistol in about 3 hours. And after he teaches him he plants buffalo gourd seeds, as well as mazie in the hydroponics room and goes to sleep so he can get ready to scout and know more about Copper-9)

The Courier's POV:

I wake up to get ready to scout ,but do to it being Daylight I talk to James most of the day until it is time to go. I then put my fully modded Anti-material rifle in the closet and equip the YCS/186 gauss rifle, because I think it may do more damage to what I may face at night. I then walk over to James sitting in the middle of the hallway with a chair guarding the staircase. So James before I do go outside and Scout around,is there anything you can tell me about these murder drones that I can use to learn more about them? Then James responds with "all I can say is that I know of is they need to stay out of the daylight if they don't they die." Ok thanks for the info,oh and before I go James if I don't come back in three days I am either lost or dead you understand. "Ok Six stay safe alright. "You to James, you to" says The Courier from the blast door entrance and then closing it behind him.
