Chapter 3: The Pilot

I'm sorry if I unpublished this chapter but, I thought of making a remaster of this chapter would make the intro of the story much better than I thought it would be. Also, sorry if I've been quiet for the last 6 months or so; I've been doing a lot of work on myself as well as this book at the same time. Now on to the story..

Courier Six's POV:

After scouting around for about 2 hours finding more about this cold and dead planet I am on, I come across what seems to be a destroyed city. I walk the highway of this abandoned and ruined city looking at the buildings, they greatly damaged from the elements and not being maintained for so long some of them are even missing half of themselves. Then I see a mountain of what looks like those worker drones, the mountain is huge if I was to give it my best gest I would say the number region would be in the tens of thousands. "Wow I did not know these killing machines would be capable of causing so much death", Six says with a surprised tone of voice. There must be a lot more of those monsters out here somewhere, hopefully I don't get into contact with them. The Courier then looks around to evaluate the area more to make the place is safe, then he gets hint of deja vu . "You know what this place reminds of the Divide a little but with more snow and less nuclear destruction" says The Courier. His visor HUD then shows that his oxygen tank is at 55%, and the zone around him is at a low but at an safe level. Six then switches the oxygen tank with the spare one he found at the bunker living room, and the Visor HUD then shows that the oxygen tank is 100%. "There that should do for now untill I get back to my bunker" says The Courier. He then hears something walking towards him so he hides by running behind a big pile of dead worker drone bodies away from the road and looks to see what is going in his direction.

He sees a female worker drone that has dark purple hair and eyes. She is also wearing a black beanie, a dark jacket with a skirt, and gothic boots. She is also welding a what it looks to be an advanced gauss or plasma rife that has a neon green glow to it and walking into the dead worker drone mountain. "What in the fuck is a worker drone doing out here in this frost wasteland with a energy weapon" whispers Six softly to make sure she does not hear him. The Courier then equips the YCS/186 gauss rifle aiming it at her direction and looking through the scope to check what she is doing. She takes cover behind cover in the cave of the mountain then pulling out a reflective object shining it at a male Disassembly drone, the disassembly drone has silver grey like silky hair, is wearing a black fur trench coat with a yellow arm band ,and a black pilot's hat while crushing a worker drones head. "What in the het is she thinking she is going to get herself killed", said Six then sneaking up to the next point of cover so he can get a better angle with the gauss rifle. The disassembly drone then noticed Uzi and flys into the air towards Uzi she equips her railgun and loads it to fire it at N ,but N lands next to her causing a shockwave knocking the weapon out of her grip. You know what I watch from a distance see what these things are capable of, plus she made this far without help how bad can it get. Uzi does a backflip to get away from, and she sticks the landing. "Ha it looks like pirating all that anime did something after all", and N approaches her stabs her with his stinger piercing though her hand and pulls Uzi toward the pod. "Well if she is going to die a brutal death I am at least going to help a bit",said Six pulling out two flashbangs from his inventory and runs towards N's back side. "Think fast chuckle nuts" Six yells and tossing the flashbangs in front of N and the flash blinds Uzi and stunning N giving Six time to retreat to cover. Uzi then grabs the railgun and fires a neon green ray at N blowing his head clean off and his body falls dead while Six watches from afar. "Ok for such a small energy rifle that thing can do a great amount of damage" said The Courier

Six sees that N's head has regenerated and he gets himself back up. Ok what in the actual hell, these things are able to come back to life after a weapon like that takes his head clean off said Six aloud. Uzi looks over and says "Hey if you are still there stranger I need some help here", Six does not respond to her and goes out of the murder drone's cave sneaking away from the scene. "Ok these things are going to be more harder to destroy than I anticipated" The Courier says to himself while checking his inventory for something that may help against these disassembly drones. "Ha there it is" and he pulls out the Gabriel's bark Sonic emitter and a couple Emp grenades. After jogging around about 10 minutes he finds a giant blast door beside of a mountain side, "This looks like the place that James the worker drone and that gothic drone came from" Six said to himself looking at the door. If this is the place place I will make sure to put the location of this place on my Pip-boy right now before I forget, Six then puts the location of the place down on his Pip-boy named Worker Drone Safe Haven. "Ok if that drone is even still alive after that conflict she will most likely come here to her home and take cover for those war machines", Six says to himself while climbing to the top of the shelter rooftop. "I will just go prone right on top of the roof waiting for them to come back to this location" Six says to himself and checking his Pip-boy for any radio signals to listen to music and waiting for the worker to come back.
