Atsumu's Ending

Author's POV

"I want to know where Atsumu is." You say, the silence was loud, it was deafening, it took Kita a while to register the name you just said.

"You... You've grown feelings for him?" He couldn't help but to ask, you were now sure, back then you weren't, you swore on your life that Atsumu, was the one missing from your life all this time.

These things, your feelings, it was out of your control. Anyone can judge you, make comments but did you really care at this point? Atsumu made you feel things that you never knew existed, he knew ways to understand you, make you happy in just those little things.

You felt bad, but at the same time. Love had no limitations and rules to whomever you choose to be with your wntire life.

Truth be told you are guilty for ever betraying Osamu like this, but it was a hard choice, but... it was just Atsumu, he was too likeable to ignore, he was something, that something that is missing from you.

"I know, I'm a bad person... but Kita." You say, trying to explain yourself but Kita stops you.

Kita understood, really he did. He wasn't in the position to ever say his opinions out loud, he voted for both Atsumu and Osamu. More on over Osamu's side but, he knew Atsumu. He knows that kid he always babysits deserves all the love from a genuine and gentle person and you were perfect, you filled Atsumu's missing pieces.

You understood Atsumu in ways no one could, vice versa. You complimented each other's difference, you don't have that much in common, but you loved each other, you had common feelings about each other and that's important, more than anything.

"No, no. I understand, he's around the local park." Kita announces, wanting to understand you more than anything, he did tell you he was going to answer your questions wether who it was for, "Go get him, if you feel like he really is the one for you... you deserve it both."

"Thank you... So much, Kita." You say, a smile was noticeable in your tone.

-

You bury your hands inside of your pocket more, breathing in the soft breeze as the clouds began to turn into a dirty grey, the once carefree sky blue in the sky flading slowly. You looked up at the sky whilst stopping on your tracks.

You sighed in your head, you didn't see it coming. You didn't expect it to rain at all, and it came down on you, the small drops of rain one by one as it meets with your skin, it started off light but it soon poured down all around you, your eyes closed as a reflex to protect it from the contact.

The sky was now tar-black, the clouds moved towards you. The pitter-patter of rain, people ran for cover, others opened an umbrella whilst you stood there, enjoying it. You had little to no energy to move, this feeling, it felt like you were free from thoughts, forgetting your real reason to why you ever came to this park. Soon, just like the rain, negative thoughts clouded your mind.

You felt so bad about what you did to Osamu, were you really doing this because of what you genuinely feel? or was it because you were being selfish.

Puddles began plinking, as the rainfall became heavier.

Your mind was as same as the heavy grey clouds above you.

However, you looked up from your gaze that somehow fell down to the ground when you felt a presence not so far from you.

And there he stood, under the rain also. His eyes not leaving you, not wanting to look away from you. Droplets of water slides down from the bridge of his nose to the tip, his blonde hair now damped, but he didn't care. He didn't care if his clothes were clinging onto his body, he didn't care about the cold breeze constantly sending shivers down to his spine, the important part was you were there. The fact that he could look at you right now was a gift itself for him.

His heart exploded knowing you were here because you chose him, he wanted to cry out of happiness. He was in the verge of realization that he in fact did not deserve any kind of affection. He had abandonment issues, it was obvious.

You felt lonely at the moment, but the fact of the matter is, he was there to be lonely with you.

"Tsumu." You finally break the silence of the sound of rain between the two of you.

Atsumu fell silent for a moment before opening his lips to tell you, "Are you okay?"

The tears fallimg from your eyes speaked for itself, he walked closer to you and opened his arms to hug you with no second thoughts whatsoever. He just wanted to tell you that everything was going to be fine, as long as both of you were there for each other, you sobbed right onto his chest in agony.

"I can't help it, Tsumu. It's you... It's you that I want to be with." You speak through the loudness of rain but the blonde hears you loud and clear.

His heart burst into flames, the sentence made him hug you tighter for some reason. He felt tears building up in his eyes, he never heard that from someone.

He was never aware that someone needed to be with him, and wanted to be with him. Atsumu was the most popular in their volleyball team, but he was also the loneliest, people loved him for how good he was in playing, but not because of who he truly was, a lonely boy who just wanted to finally feel the feeling of being able to lower their guard down in someone's arms and it happened to be you. You that he wants to do all the things he failed to do all by himself.

"I still hope it's not too late." You say in between your sobs.

"It's never too late with you, Y/n." He finally replies to you.

He makes you feel special, he makes you feel that you are supposed to be loved. How can you not choose him, when evreyday he chooses you.

Everyone keeps talking about those who keep you away from the rain.

But it's all about the ones who are willing to stay under the rain with you.
