T.S. paired us based on our rankings, but Heng insisted to be paired with me because we both don't have partners. He was the president while I was on the last number ranking because I was a scholar.

"Can't we change partners?" Becky pleaded to Heng as if she didn't threaten his life before. "I don't want to stay away from Freenky."

I laughed at her childish act. She has been in a good mood when she woke up this morning. I guess she gets a good night's sleep.

"You're with Non. He's also your friend, right? Now, go down." Heng scolded her, and she lowered her head.

Becky waved goodbye to me and turned her back. I smiled at her while watching her walk. Heng stood beside me and watched her also.

"Our kid has grown up," he said and sighed.

I squinted at him and nudged his stomach, causing him to groan.

"If she heard you again, I'll kick your ass." I threatened him.

Heng chuckled and grabbed his bag and put it in his back. "If you didn't tell me that you're asexual, I'll assume you're in love with her."

"So, what if I fall for her?" I asked.

Heng stopped and looked at me. "Then that's ouch," he said. He handed me the list that we needed to find in an hour.

A scavenger hunt starts with a place or series of locations in which players search for hidden objects. When planning a scavenger hunt, the idea is to create a list of things that participants need to find, ask for, or photograph. Right now, I have the list but this mountain is enormous. How can we find all of these in an hour?

Heng kicked all the stones in my way. He then cut the branches that were blocking us. I turned to him and walked in front because I was annoyed at what he was doing.

I don't know if Heng likes me or if he's playing with me. He's acting as if he is hurt every time I am with Becky. He acts as if we know each other for too long. Although I can say that aside from Becky, he's the one I can talk to comfortably.

"This is the last piece. We won!" Heng shouted and hugged me.

Everyone who saw us clapped their hands except Becky who was looking at us with a poker face. Non tried to reach for her hand but she refused and walked away.

I pushed Heng away, and he smiled at me.

"Can you stop being clingy?" I asked irritably and gave him all the things we found.

I tried to chase Becky but I was blocked by the guard. He told me to stay for the awarding and wait for the others to complete their objects.

Minutes passed before all the students return to the IdR mountain circle. It is like a gymnasium where students can gather during the awarding ceremony.

This day is so tiring and I want to end this event. If Heng isn't competitive, perhaps I'm sleeping in my tent right now.

I looked around to search for Becky and I saw her standing with Non. He's protecting her from other people by chasing them away every time they get closer to her. Becky deadpans and doesn't care about the surroundings. Damn, she's mad again.

"I heard we can choose whoever we want to date," said the second placer of the scavenger hunt. The girl beside her grimaced.

"You only want to date Becky, that's why you're happy."

The atmosphere changed the moment I heard them talking. He wanted to date her, and I couldn't let him.

"Don't worry, we are the first place. We're going to pick first," Heng said.

"Pick her." I prompted. "I'm a woman. If I picked Becky, they will judge her. I don't want that to happen."

"I can't choose, Freen." Heng shook his head at me. "I'm not allowed to choose since I am the president. That's my disadvantage."

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"You have to choose. Save her reputation by not choosing her as your date or give her to someone you don't know."

I turned to Becky and she was now looking at me. She mouthed, "Choose me." And I nodded.

I will face the judgments rather than see her dating someone else.

After knowing that Becky killed a person before, I wanted to stay away from her for a moment. However, there's a part of me asking, "What if she didn't do it herself? What if she asked someone to do it?" The room and plate number must be a coincidence and Becky didn't know anything about it.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Becky asked and cut the steak on her plate.

"I want to know you more," I said out of the blue.

Becky looked at me and beamed. "Why? Are you falling for me?" she asked.

I shook my head. "I'm afraid that won't happen for now. I like what we have, but I hate commitment."

"You hate it yet you always give me assurance. You hate it, but you like when I get jealous. Why are your words and actions contradicting each other?"

"I'm saving myself, Becky. I'm afraid I can trust no one. Sooner or later, you'll get tired of me. Someday, you'll dump me."

"How can you be so sure?" Becky reached for my hand on the table. "Give your heart to me, and I'll give you anything, Freenky."
