Once all had gathered into their seats, breakfast finally began.

"So....what happened while I was gone?" Chan asked.

The group looked at each other before their eyes all landed on the leader.

Said leader sighed. "Well, it's gonna be a long story Chan"

"I'm sorry— WHAT?!" Chan spat out the milk that he was just about to swallow. "You're telling me Ateez returned?!"

"Well now they're in jail, facing their punishment" Mingyu said, shrugging nonchalantly.

Chan let out a heavy breath. "And the HYBE Building?"

"I took care of it" Jisoo said, raising his palm.

Chan pursed his lips. "So it is that serious.........." He muttered.

"What do you mean “that serious”? What exactly happened while you were there with the astro-velers??" Jeonghan asked, raising an eyebrow.

Chan sighed. "Promise you won't get weirded out?"

"Chan, we're all weirdos at this rate doing weird things in weird times" Seungkwan laughed.

Chan chuckled at that. "Okay so uhm............I could actually travel through time mentally"

This time it was Jisoo who spat his coffee out. "I'm sorry— WHAT?!"

"Yeah, time travel" Chan said again. "If I'm relaxed enough, I can actually travel through different periods of times"

"Woah, you high-ranked shadows are really something" Seokmin said, biting off his toast.

Chan shook his head. "That's not actually the case. See, the reason why other species are after ME is that I, ME AND ONLY ME, have that kind of ability. Heck, they even said they once tried with G-Dragon sunbaenim"

"And let me guess, he couldn't?"

"Exactly" Chan replied to Wonwoo' s guess.

Hansol scratched his head. "And how.........is that connected to them wanting you?"

"Well, Moonbin said it comes with different reasons. But their reason was that so I can look into their homeland's past, see what happened to cause its destruction"

Seungcheol nodding, understanding immediately. "Right, they travel dimension to dimension because they lost their home planet"

Chan snapped his fingers, pointing at him. "Exactly!"

"So if that's so........then Ateez must've wanted the same thing with Chan right? Hence why they wanted him?" Mingyu spoke out.

"It could be" Jeonghan nodded.

Chan pursed his lips. "Only one way to find out"

"Huh??"

"I'm going to the police station" Chan drank the last of his coffee before standing up and heading upstairs.

Jun widened his eyes. "Say what?!"

Seungkwan bolted out from his seat and chased the younger. "Are you out of your mind Chan?!" He yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

Chan took the last step as he turned around, facing at Seungkwan. "They wanted me right? Then I'll give them the opportunity to see me" He said, turning his back around.

Seungkwan shook his head, teleporting beside Chan. "You can't be serious"

Chan didn't flinch at his sudden appearance. "I am" He smiled, patting the older's shoulder before entering his room.

Seungkwan let out a sound of disbelief as he followed the younger inside.

"Chan, you literally just got home"

"Yeah, so? I won't take long Hyung. It'll be like, an hour or two" Chan said, changing from his pajamas to some casual outfit.

"But—" Seungkwan was about to retort something when a hand was placed on his shoulder. He turned around, meeting Jeonghan's gaze.

"Let him be Seungkwan" Jeonghan whispered.

"All right! I'm off" Chan exclaimed, wearing an orange cap as he walked past the two and jogged downstairs.

"Want me to drive you Chan-ah?" Seungcheol asked, standing at the bottom of the stairs.

"No thanks. I can drive myself" Chan reassured, grabbing the car keys and leaping his way out of the house.

The rest of the boys couldn't help but stare at him as he got into the car and slowly drove off.

Seokmin teared up. "He's a grown up now. It was like yesterday he was a little fetus"

Jisoo chuckled beside him. "Okay, enough. Calm down, love" He said, wiping his boyfriend's tears.

"Do you think he'll do fine hyung?" Minghao asked the oldest.

Seungcheol hesitated for an answer. "I trust him. But knowing his situation, I can't let him be alone. So," He turned around. "Minghao, Hansol, I need you two to keep an eye on Chan. Stay hidden, don't let him see you"

The two nodded.
