Hey guys kinda forgot I already did this so there was a huge re write halfway through so hope you guys like it.

Max and Charles had been at each other's throats since the first day of high school. They had never gotten along, constantly competing for the top spot in their classes, on the sports field, and in every other aspect of their lives. They were both brilliant students, and it was always a neck-and-neck race between them to see who would come out on top.

Max was the quintessential popular kid. He had the looks, the charm, and the swagger to win over anyone he met. He was captain of the football team, president of the student council, and had an endless stream of friends and admirers. He was the kind of kid that everyone wanted to be friends with.

Charles, on the other hand, was the complete opposite of Max. He was a quiet, introverted kid who kept to himself most of the time. He was an excellent student, but he had no interest in sports or extracurricular activities. He was content to spend his time reading books and studying.

Their rivalry started in their freshman year of high school when they were both competing for the top spot in their class. Max had always been the smartest kid in his elementary and middle school, and he was determined to keep that title in high school. But Charles was equally determined to take the top spot. They battled it out throughout the year, each one getting better grades than the other.

Their rivalry spilled over into other areas of their lives. Max was determined to be the star quarterback on the football team, while Charles had no interest in sports. But when Charles showed up at tryouts and proved to be a better passer than Max, the two boys clashed again. Max was furious that someone like Charles could outshine him on the field.

Their rivalry continued through their sophomore and junior years, with each boy trying to outdo the other in every aspect of their lives. They never spoke to each other except to exchange insults and barbs. They were like two bitter enemies, constantly fighting over the same scraps.

But in their senior year, something strange started to happen. Max began to notice that he was actually attracted to Charles. He couldn't understand why he was feeling this way. After all, he had always been a ladies' man, and he had never even considered the possibility that he might be attracted to another guy.

At first, Max tried to ignore his feelings. He didn't want to admit that he was attracted to Charles, let alone act on those feelings. But the more he tried to push his feelings away, the stronger they became.

One day, during a particularly intense argument with Charles, Max blurted out that he was attracted to him. Charles was shocked by the revelation. He had never suspected that Max might be gay, let alone attracted to him.

At first, Charles was hesitant to pursue a relationship with Max. After all, the two of them had been bitter enemies for years. But the more he thought about it, the more he realized that he had feelings for Max as well.

Over the next few weeks, Max and Charles started spending more time together. They went on dates, talked about their feelings, and began to explore their attraction to each other. They found that they had a lot in common and that they actually enjoyed each other's company.

Eventually, they both came to the realization that they didn't hate each other after all. They had just been too competitive and too focused on winning to see the other person as anything other than an obstacle in their way. Now, they saw each other in a completely new light.

Max and Charles graduated from high school as a couple, much to the surprise of their classmates. They went off to college together, where they continued their relationship and pursued their dreams. They never forgot their bitter rivalry in high school, but the feelings of love and passion overlooked that.
