There will probably be quite a few references, Kipo an the reader gonna kinda have the same dynamic as Catra and Adora lol

(And that does include the tension)

This'll be my first attempt at a slowburn but I guess it'll be more of a midburn-

ANYWAY ENJOY

You really didn't know how you ended up on the surface.

Waking up had never been more confusing.

Well, it had never been confusing, unless you woke up on a school day thinking it was the weekend. That was the origin of pain.

The unfamiliar scent of your surroundings filled your nose as you took a long look around.

"How in the actual fuck?" You muttered to yourself, still confused about the entire situation. "How did I end up here?"

You were filled with pain from head to toe. Your head was sore, your body felt like it was on fire and your throat was parched.

Yeah, not a great start.

You sighed. I need to find water.

Your eyes darted around, before landing on a building that looked like a store.

Bingo.

You hauled yourself up and began to take slow steps, because you felt like if you tried to speed up you would have fallen flat on the ground.

You took deep breaths and tried to calm yourself down as you walked.

Don't panic, you just randomly woke up on the surface where you were always told it was the most dangerous place on the planet, you may have gotten kidnapped and lost your memory, everything is out to get you-

Well, trying to gather your thoughts was definitely not the way to do it.

Just breathe.

You slowed your breathing right down, feeling the calm beginning to take over you.

After what seemed like forever, you reached the store and pushed the door open.

Now where is the...water!

You rushed over to the bottle and unscrewed the lid, beginning to drink like there was no tomorrow.

Energy surged back into your veins, as the pain seemingly went away.

"Woah," You said, looking at the now empty bottle. "I don't know what kind of water that is, but it does something." You set it down on the ground, before regaining your posture and standing up straight. "Now let me see if this still works."

You needed to focus, otherwise this wouldn't work.

Okay Y/n, you have to stay calm.

You closed your eyes and spoke the word with as much power as you could possibly muster up.

"Out."

The cat ears, claws and tail all sprung up from your body.

You held your hand up to your face and opened one eye unsurely, before opening the other and blinking a few times, trying to adjust to your sharper vision.

"Woah," You let your now slit pupils look around for a moment. "It worked!"

You had discovered that you could do this about a year ago, when you let your anger get the best of you, and....well, they just kinda appeared.
