"Hey! Over here! I found something!"
You and the girl (you STILL hadn't been bothered to name her,) were currently on the search for a meal.
You watched as she turned around and spun her weapon, starting to make her way over to you.
As she crouched down you pointed to a light blue pig nibbling at the green bush across the field. "We could make bacon."
She put a hand on your shoulder. "Good job. Now we just have to catch it. Which should be easy because no one else is around."
"MANDU?!" A female voice called out.
You turned and looked at her with a 'Really?' face, blinking your eyes a few times.
"And I spoke too soon." She facepalmed at herself, letting a sigh escape her lips. "Okay, new plan. You go up the tree and around, I'll grab the pig and meet you there."
You nodded, noting the route down in your head. "Got it."
You knew there was a tree that ran through here that connected to another tree that lead back to a cave that you had settled in for the time being.
It was confusing, but handy as well.
You got up from your position and jumped onto one of the branches and began your way back.
You took a deep breath, jumping into the cave.
"Hey that's new jumping distance record," You noted to yourself, before turning around and seeing the girl.
"You're back. Help me tie the pig up."
"Yes ma'am!" You saluted, grabbing the net the mute was in and tying it to the ceiling.
Once you were done, then came the interrogation.
"Can you talk, mute?" She asked in a stern tone, looking at it with her usual glare.
The pig made squealing noises, its two sets of eyes looking out to different sides.
"We're no barbarians, if a mute can talk, it's not chow." You added, kneeling down and tapping its nose. "All we have to hear is one little yes."
The terrified pig did an unsure squeal.
All of a sudden, your ears picked up on someone talking.
The same female voice as earlier.
"A human?"
"Sorry, but girls gotta eat," The girl grabbed a match out of her pocket and placed it on the firewood the mutated animal was hanging over.
"Wait!" A girl with pink skin and hair fell out of the old car next to the both of you, landing on her stomach .
The girl unsheathed her weapon, pointing the sharp end toward her.
"I was wondering when you were gonna come out of there."
"You're human! On the surface."
"You don't miss a thing, do you?"
Now that you heard the pink girl's voice more clearly, it was...familiar.
"What do you want?" Your question sounded like more of a demand.
"Well, I saw you were going to eat my friend, and-" She began to get up, only to be spun around by the girl's weapon.
"If you want a bacon sandwich, go catch your own pig." She pressed the side of the point to the pink girl's face, squishing her cheek.
"Yeah, we already claimed this one. So, get lost." You narrowed your eyes at her.
"I won't leave until you let her go, because she's no sandwich!"
"She's about to be," the girl threatened.
There were sounds of ripping behind you and you whipped your head around, seeing the pig starting to escape her net.
