[Amelia's pov]
(Same time as the last 2 chapters were going on)

"So, remind me of your name?" I asked the girl who was refusing to do anything but stand and stare at me.
"Awe, forgotten already, princesa? It's Lucia, but you can call me your knight."
"It wasn't a matter of forgetting, but rather finding it not worth remembering." I hissed, as I glared at her, trying to say with my eyes 'leave' "And don't call me princess. I'm taken."

"I didn't say princess, I said princesa, which is princess in spanish. And, by who, may I ask? I would like to know who took my lovely dove from me, and steal you back~" the Latina flirted at me.
"None of your business" I told her. "And shove off, I'm studying for my finals."
"Aren't you the same age as me? I finished mine last year. Sort of. I skipped half of them, but still?" Lucia looked mildly curious at why I was doing them.
"I had a job to do. I wasn't back in time for the finals. I'm doing them this year to make up for it." I told her, with a tone that usually makes people back off, but instead, it seemed to make her braver.
"Alright, nerd. You go back to your studying. I'm going to go see what's going on around here. Bye, Princesa~" she winked and left, as I felt myself go slightly pink, probably with anger, and a sick feeling in my stomach.

[Lucia's pov]

I decided to go for a walk around the nearby town, when I ran into 2 teens, a girl about my age, and the boy looking more imbetween Luz's age and mine. "Watch it, idiot. I almost dropped my plant." The teal haired... Elf? said to me.

"What's with your ears?" The other one said.
"What's with yours?" I replied to him. "Yours look human."
"Exactly! They don't look witch-like at all!" The Plant girl said
"Why would they, I'm a human?" I asked her, confused.
"You're a what?!" The other one said

"Human? You never seen one of those before?" I asked them
"Nope, we only have magical beings here, and they all look like witches, whether they are or not." The first one explained
"Whoa, so you've never been here before?" The one with black hair asked
"No, and, what are your names?" I don't like having to explain your appearances to the readers I thought, casually breaking the fourth wall.

"I'm Wionna," Wionna told me "and this is August"
"Why though?" I told them, looking confused.
"My dad wanted to be 'original' when he named me, my younger brother is actually called Augustus, but we call him Gus." I looked at him, questioning him, but I didn't say anything. It wasn't like he had a choice as to what he was named. I thought for a second.

"Salix. Annnddd... August." I said finally.
"What?" They asked in unison.
"Wionna is salix, and August is August (obviously). Simple."
"Okay, I can see August, but where did the name salix come from?" Wionna/salix asked me.
"Wionna sounds like willow, and Salix is the scientific name for a willow tree." I explained, completly understanding as to why they were confused.
"How did you know that? And, my sister is called willow."
"I dated a girl a while back whose flirting strategy was to spew random 'did you know's. A few of them stuck. And, how old is she? I have a sister too, Luz, and I wonder if we can shove the siblings together to entertain eachother..." I wondered, after explaining, thinking aloud.

"My sister is 15, and his brother is 14. They're best friends though, cause the pair of them are whizzes at everything school related, and moved up two years. That's why August is only 17, while we're both, I assume, in our first year of college." Salix explained.
"Hah, cool. You sound a bit like my cabinmate, but nicer. She's a nerd. She has done nothing but eat while studying, falling asleep to podcasts that help her study, and study. She's called Amelia Blight."
"Oh no." They looked at eachother with horrified looks on their faces "You're stuck with her? She's the worst person in our school. She's such a bitch."
"My sister is 'stuck' apparently," I said, doing finger quotes. "With her sister, a few cabins down. And I don't think she'll be so terrifying once you see her all day long with bed hair..." We exchanged glances, and ran like our lives depended on it to Amelia and I's cabin, with me leading the way.
