As the 4 of them walked towards the cabins, Enid kept rambling on and on about the sights, with only Luz listening, until something she said caught Lucia's ear. "... And in a few days you will be able to get a wish from the big man himself, Mr Nicholas. He usually grants anything, unless it's too unreasonable."
"Wait, anything?" Lucia asked the rambling rainbow.
"Yeah, basically. In a few days, starting from the 25 of November," Enid explained to them
"What counts as... Unreasonable?" Luz asked her.
"Things like controlling other people's will, or twisting it." Enid told Luz, as her face fell. "That's right, I've seen that face before. Kids whose parents are never home, practically abandoning them with their older siblings."
"Oh. Uh..." Luz mumbled, as both her and her sister looked mildly uncomfortable after just having been exposed the *QUACK* out of.
"Oh-my-god-im-so-sorry-i-dont-really- think-before-i-speak-i"
"Stop talking." Wednesday said, the first word she had said in a while. "You're disrupting my thinking."
[They were quiet the rest of the way there]
[Luz's pov]
We walked towards the cabins and said our goodbyes, and Enid pointed over to where the mess hall is, a place where you can go if you don't want to make your own food. She said against it, but I had insisted that we go, just to try it out. I walked into my cabin, and a green haired girl was in there, on the couch, on her phone. I started to talk to her, but she stopped me and said to me, "Luz, isn't it? Before you ask anything, let me just set some ground rules.
(1) Do not go in my room unless specifically told to.
(2) I am not your friend, I am your guide, and roommate, for now.
(3) We do not do therapy. I had to do another one of these a few months back and she told me everything about her life. I did not ask, she just told. You have problems, talk to your sister. I do not care if you're being bullied or homesick.
(4) Please do not talk to me in public. I have a reputation to maintain. I do not need a human coming up to me in public.
That's it. Just follow them and we won't have a problem." She then sat down and continued scrolling. "Oh, and, your bags are in your room."
An hour later, she showed me to the mess hall, where we both met up with our older sisters. "Mine's kinda ho-" Lucia told me, the first thing she said to me "Don't even finish that" me and Wednesday said in unison, and I jumped because didn't know she was there. "FOR *QUACK*'S SAKE WEDNESDAY, DONT DO THAT" I yelled at her, "You almost gave me a heart attack!"
"Oh, I'm bloomin' sorry, inni' bruv. Do ya wan' a bo'oh 'o' waw'ah?" Wednesday said, smiling evily.
It was one time. ONE TIME! And it was for a play. Read. My. Lips. PLAY!" I cried. (It was for a drama play we were doing together)
"C'mon lad, don't be dodgy."
"UUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHH" I yelled, a bit too loudly, as people started to stare at us, "c'mon, let's go, this food it disgusting. My cabin or yours?"
"HERS." Amity yelled.
"Sure, Enid's out." Wednesday shrugged and started walking.
