Leaving the library, I went towards my car. I wanted coffee before going to that dinner. Seeing my watch it was already 7:00
" Ohh my god, mum's gonna kill me!" I shouted and started the engines.
As I was wearing my seat belts, the box Austin gave me moved a little bit and fell under the front seat.
" Can't wait for me now can you?" I joked.
I drove to the near coffee shop and ordered a plain milk coffee.
" Here you go mam" the waiter said.
"Thankyou!' I smiled grabbing my coffee and came back to my car, hurrying my self to drive so that I could reach at the diner on time.
After an hour or so,
I was on a secluded highway now as it was already winter and not a lot of people were out on these times on the roads, the night was getting cold and scary. It was pretty dark now and as I was starting to get a little scared.
But as I took a turn, a black truck like thing came in my view on the side of the other road, there were trees between the two paths and I was a few meters away, I stopped the car and switched the head lights off because my sixth sense was telling me not to cross them. the people in it couldn't see me and I was thankful they couldn't because the next thing I saw scared me to bits.
There were at least six 'bulky guards' like dressed men with atleast two bull dogs sniffing the grass and trees of the forest at the side of the road.
They were aggressive and fast and it clearly showed that they were in search of a person. They had guns and knives too.
What if they are policemen? I questioned myself but ..why would they be here at this time of hour.
May be there was a criminal on the run and he hid in the forest...
Wait... I was here too!! and seeing my luck I could land myself directly in front of that criminal..
Oh god! I had to go but how???
I was panicking when suddenly a gunshot was heard and all those man ran in the forest.
My blood ran cold.
I couldn't bring my self to ignite the keys.
Just as I was able to calm myself down, shouts and scream of a man was heard..
" Hold him tightly! We can't let him escape!!" one guard shouted.
" He has an injury!!" Another one said.
" Who cares once we have the secret to his wealth and antidote, he won't be needed anymore" the biggest of them all said.
Hearing all this, my heart broke. They were going to kill whoever they caught just for the sake of money.
We as humans were doomed.
Should I ?
No my inner voice said.
But I can't just leave him like that..
You can't do anything, they are six! Six !! You idiot.. drive away. Take the back escape and leave!!!.
No!!! I won't.
It was a bad decision and I knew I was going to regret it but do hell with life and do hell with those bastards. I am going to help him, yesss.
But how?
And that stopped my proud glint.
As I was thinking, those men came out of the forest holding a bag like thing, it was moving and thrashing.
Continuously grunting for freedom.
They loaded the bag behind the truck and locked it.
Five of them sat behind and the other went to drive them.
I should follow them..
When they crossed me, I ducked and hid below the widows of my car, waiting for them to drive away..
Now we had a healthy distance between us and once they were out of my sight, I started my car and followed them.
I had to save him no matter what.
I know I was gonna regret this probably but I had to...
