"Niki, how can you even do this? When you know that she's trying too hard to get your attention and you're giving it to her. I am so fed up of your behaviour. You first rant to me saying that she's heels over you and now you're giving all your attention to her. What am I then? Don't I exist?" I shouted at him.

Flashback

We were at Yumis birthday party. I was not interested in her so called birthday party neither Niki was. But God knows what convinced him that he wanted to go there and aske me to come along. After a lot of convincing I agreed.

We were currently playing a game which Yumi suggested. I was not interested in the game, so didn't even care to listen to the rules.

After a while, Yumi said something to her minions and ask Niki to come with them. Him not knowing what they're actually planning, he went along with them.

"Boys and girls, may I get your attention please?" The host asked.

Yumi walked to the stage.
"Hello guys, thank you for coming to my birthday, please enjoy."

'enjoy' my ass.

"Since, we all are here, I want everyone to dance with a partner of opposite gender. It would make this party a lot more fun." She said.

She kept blabarring things on the stage which I least cared to listen. I looked around and searched for Niki.

He was no where to be found.

After a while, everyone's started to team up with the opposite gender. I didn't have interest in it so I didn't care much about it. That's when I saw Niki with Yumi.

I didn't know, but I didn't like him being with her. I walked to him just to see him surrounding his arm around her waist. It broke my heart.

"Niki..." I said. He looked at me with an uncomfortable expression.

"Oh hey y/n. Why don't you join others? Since Niki chose me to be his partner." She said mocking me in a way.

I was enough of her. I was ok with her behaviour in school but now? I was fuming with anger.

I didn't think of anything and slapped her gaining every person's attention to us.

I looked at Niki and left from there.

Flashback ends.

"Y/n, can't you let me just finish?" Niki said being annoyed at this point.

"What's left to listen Niki? You would've taken stand for yourself. Can't you just say a No to her? Is it that hard?" I said.

"Y/n." He said coming towards me.

"Enough Niki. I am just tired. I am tired of this act." I said being on the verge of crying.

"Y/n please lis-"
"Shut up Niki."

"No." He said.
"SHUT UP." I shouted at him.

"Make me." He said taking me aback.

I rolled my eyes at him. "It won't work on me Niki." I said.

"Then I'll make it work on me." He said and smashed his lips into mine.

He pinned me against the wall and kissed me.

Before I could react he pulled away from the kiss.

"I- I am sorry. I just couldn't hold it. I had something planned when I was there in the party but I didn't know it'll become a huge mess. When they took me to the room, Yumi tried to seduce me and asked me for consent which I did reply with a no. I didn't kept my arm around her waist she was the one who forced me. I... I wanted to..." He stopped.

He sighed. "I wanted to propose you."

He grip on me tighten. He was nervous.

"I like you Y/n. I wanted to tell you this from a very long time but I was afraid that it'll cost our friendship. I really love you. I wanted to ask you out in a better way. I am sorry." He said and backed away.

"Niki..." I whispered.

I felt droplets touching the ground. But I cared less.

"I am sorry..." I said and held his hands.

"I was jealous of you and Yumi. I was tired of keeping this act of being a friend." I said. He looked at me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and made sure that there was no distance between our body.

Without saying something, I leaned in for a kiss. It was a kiss full of love. We knew what we were doing and we were ready to take the risk for it.

I pulled away and said, "I love you too Niki."

He smiled and kissed me again.
