joe along with some of the boys decided to hit the gym, to be in great shape for their next game coming up soon.

"so, just making sure...you still don't have any feelings for meredith?" ja'marr questions

"how many times do i have to tell you guys? just drop it" joe becomes slightly frustrated as this always comes up in conversation when he is with the boys.

"i'm just saying, you two would be so fucking cute together" tee adds.

the boys continue to work out for a while until sam walks in late with a plate of cookies.

"sorry i'm late." sam sighs. "meredith has been baking up a storm recently and she actually invited me over to help her"

"i never get invited to help her make cookies because i always mess them up" sam chuckles. "anyways she brought us a plate of cookies so help yourself"

"is she okay?" joe asks.

"yeah, why shouldn't she be?" sam answers.

"it's nothing" joe tries to hide the fact that he knows something. luckily the conversation changes topic and the boys start to work out again.

joe remembers from the summer he spent with meredith, that she is a stress baker. when times get hard and challenging in meredith obrien's life, she turns to the one thing that never fails to make her calm down. and that is baking.

sure, it's true. when meredith feels stressed about something she turns into a baking machine. once she spent an entire week trying to perfect her mother's recipe.

when meredith first started to be just friends with joe, she didn't mind one bit. she was happy to have him back in her life, even if that meant she was seen as only a friend to him. but as time went on, she felt as if olivia has been posting more and more pictures of her and joe on her social media. she can't help but feel that olivia is rubbing in the fact that she is with joe and meredith isn't.

"how many pictures of her and joe has she posted in the last month?" meredith asks ella on facetime as she props her phone against a bowl so that she can continue to stir her ingredients.

"ummm," ella says as she scrolls through olivia's instgram feed from the past month. "12 pictures of her and joe from the last month"

"i can't tell if it's just me being jealous or something, but i feel like she is rubbing it in people's faces. like, 'look at me, i am with joe burrow and you aren't'" meredith explains.

"i'm sorry girlie" ella frowns.

"i just wish he would open his eyes a little bit you know? he is under her spell and he's trapped. for some reason he took her back, even though she was toxic in the relationship." meredith groans frustrated. "i want him to wake up and realize that while he was wasting these past few months with olivia, the perfect girl was standing in front of him. you know?"
