meredith sighs as she looks through her clothes. the bengals won against the ravens in week 18, 27-16. they play the ravens again next week in the wild-card round of playoffs. everyone on the team is tired of playing the ravens since this will be their 3rd time playing them this season.

"i'm so exhausted. i just want to play the ravens and get it over with" joe plops down on the bed.

"i know," she says. "you just have to do your best out there and then you'll win. don't sell yourself short j"

"it's just that i wasn't that proud of how i played against them last week. we won that game because of the defense and their ability to turnover the ball. i just need to get out of my own head" joe states.

"anyways, what are you doing?" he smiles as he looks at meredith sorting through her clothes.

"i'm trying to find a cute outfit for the game on sunday" she answers. "but i don't like any of my options. none of them look good on me."

"what?" he asks. "you look good in any outfit you put on"

"i think you should take into account that it's january in cincinnati and that you will be freezing your butt off if you decide to wear a bengals t-shirt" joe continues.

"you really think i look good in anything?" she questions.

"of course you do, you are absolutely beautiful inside and out, regardless of what you put on," he says truthfully. tears begin to form in meredith's eyes from joe's kind words.

"that is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me" she laughs as the tears threaten to fall.

"hey, come here" joe opens his arms and meredith melts into them. "i love you for who you are. you are so much more than what is on the outside. you are kind and caring. you are always thinking of other people. you are just the best person anyone could ask to have in their life"

"not to mention, you are insanely hot" he adds. "but that is just one of many reasons why i love you" meredith snuggles into joe's chest as he says all these nice things about her.

"do you know what i think you need?" he asks.

"what?"

"a dance party!" joe gets off the bed and grabs his phone along with a speaker. he scrolls through spotify until he finds the perfect song. he presses play and grabs meredith out of the bed. as "what makes you beautiful" beings to fill her ears her face lights up. the two dance and dance throughout the entire song. once the song ends they lay back on the bed together and smile.

"god, i am so in love with you" she chuckles as she kisses joe.

"i am so in love with you too" he kisses her back with a giant smile on his face.
