Hybrid

The two teens tensed when the sentence dissolved in the air. Peter slightly opened his mouth, breathing though it heavily. Believing this not real, he shook his head and turned to see Juliette, expecting her to burst in laughs and tell him that it was just a joke. But Juliette didn't say anything. She looked normal, peaceful, right where she was standing. Peter reconsidered the idea of this been a joke.

"You want me to do what?" he said, understanding the request but questioning obviously.

"To rip my heart out."

"I clearly understand what you are asking me to do. But why?" he said.

Peter asked himself the next thing. Why would Juliette want him to do that? The pain of someone taking your heart out was surely brief, but it was unbearable, and the pain remained if the heart is not place where it supposed to be.

"I need to see how dark it has turn."

The behaviour of someone is what makes a heart go dark or light, completely pure in some cases, since there are different kind of people with different kinds of hearts. The things people do are reflexed in their hearts, and of course Peter knew that. His heart was a big reminder of the power of hearts.

"How dark is has turned? Is this really happening?" he said.

"It will just be for a couple of minutes, I don't think taking my heart out for a short period of time will make me-" she was interrupted by Peter's chuckle.

"Make you what? Evil and truly heartless like me? Is that what you want to prove?" he said angrily. A lot of people who had met Peter Pan had said exactly the same thing.

How can a boy be so evil and heartless?

"Are you here to make questions or to help me? Because I must do this now, with or without your help."

"And how are you supposed to rip your heart out by your own without magic?" the way he speak was like if he was spitting every word with hate and disgust, not for Juliette, just for that crazy idea.

Peter, I swear to God that if you keep answering me with questions, you'll wake up underwater.

"Okay, I see we are going nowhere with this conversation." She sighted desperate. "I know taking out my heart can be dangerous, since I might like or not the results. But the Dark Forest did something to me, it changed me, I am a complete person now I am scared that I'll hurt anyone because of that. If you give me a chance to see my heart, just for a moment, I will understand. And you have nothing to worry about. You are the magic expert here, I am in safe hands."

"What will change? If you see your heart, what will change?" Peter finally asked.

"I'll find the reason why I can't remember why I loved you."

Juliette was certain that her plan was based on her theory; a place that tortured you with the worst of your fears and nightmare, drained your heart of kindness, love, and everything else that made you a human, even fear itself. But how was she going to prove this when the only person with magic in this island thought that her plan was reckless and mad? Peter knew how much this little act of madness would help Juliette, but he did believe that she could turn back the way she used to be before with one of the most powerful things in magic, love. But if she was right, and her heart was different, then his plan would fail, and Peter Pan never fails.
