Lost in Time

A life without magic is a simple life, most people would say. But Juliette believed that there were different kinds of magic, not necessarily the mystical kind. Juliette could see a bit of magic everywhere, or at least she used to. The way life goes on and how things worked. Magic, fate coincidence, science. It was all the same, because it was never the same thing together or individually.

The crossed tree was a time door, a strange door for Juliette to use for her own business, or Peter's.

"Peter, I need to talk to you." Juliette almost whispered.

Peter stopped walking and waiting for Juliette to catch up with his pace or to speak. But words were what she was looking for. What was she going to say now? In the middle of nowhere, probably someplace in London but she couldn't tell. What was she going to say to the boy that made her question everything? She gather thoughts together and spoke.

"I know that you have to take care of the boys and run the island, however you do that anyway. But I have a lot of questions and I won't let my pride to win over my curiosity. So there for, I need answers."

"If you want to get answers, a question must be asked." Peter said.

Juliette rolled her eyes and thought of what question he could answer without sarcasm.

"I don't intent to be the Lost Girl you want me to be. But I know that you didn't brought me to Neverland to be a mother."

She didn't asked a question though, so she tried again. Juliette as a mother, after all that has happened?

"Tell me why you chose me. There are millions of girls in my world and in yours. I am not special, I just know your story. And this is not the moment to tell me bullshit stories. So be honest and tell me the truth."

Peter lowered his head chuckling.

"I am Peter Pan. You believe to know my story. But you don't trust your memory. Now let me give you the only thing you'll get from me in a bad mood." He said.

"But Peter-"

"Enjoy your trip love. It might be the only time you leave Neverland." With that he disappeared into green mist of his, leaving a lonely and confused Juliette in the middle of London.

Later, Juliette found her way to the nearest town. What she knew of this time was from books. She remembered that manners were everything and appearances. She was wearing good clothes, or at least that is what she thought they looked, her vocabulary was good enough. She was doomed. Peter left her to wonder off in the unknown once again. She wondered if that was his plan all along. She wondered what Peter's plan was for her.

She sighted the moment she stopped walking. Feeling sorry for herself and anxious.

She walked and walked, tried to enjoy the view of the European place that she had always wanted to see, before civilization evolved. The buildings were not like she imagined, it surpassed all of her ideas or imagination, then she smiled when she saw the first group of people walking towards what seemed a store.

Girls, boys, soldiers everywhere, life surround and lived in that place. She seemed to blend in pretty good. No one looked at her with curiosity or asked her who she was. She was just there, looking.

Music was playing somewhere near her. She turned to see, making the cloak uncover her head. Inside the building, which seemed more like a public pub or restaurant. People were laughing, dancing, and some where even playing the music or singing.
