Chapter 9 ~Dawn Down~

I sit with Splattered as we laugh about topics, Amber and Oak lie on a rock as the sun hits their pelts, "they're so cute together," I smile, "oh my Starclan yes!" Splattered smiled, "Mud, can we talk?" Twilight said walking over, I look to Splattered to see her nod, "sure," I smile following him, we get to an empty area, "I wanted to talk about something I have been thinking about for a while..." he muttered as we sat, I listen with a smile, "I'm going to become a warrior this meeting and I was-" he began, "ALL CATS OF RIVERCLAN FROM THE SMALLEST KIT TO THE OLDEST ELDER PLEASE GATHER AROUND THE WET ROCK FOR A CLAN MEETING!" Ember'Star called out, "damn it..." Twilight sighed, "come on," he said getting up I follow him over and we sat by Amber and Oak, "today we have some apprentices who are ready to become warriors. Moon'paw, and Twilight'paw please step forth," Ember'Star said, I smile as Twilight steps up, "Moon'paw you have trained hard with Lupus'Eye and we both know you are ready to become a warrior, from this day forth you will be known as Moon'Lilly to represent your graceful skill, after this meeting you will complete your silent vigil, may Starclan light your path." they said nodding, "Moon'Lilly!" the clan chanted, once silence fell Ember'Star continued, "Twilight'paw you have trained hard with Wishing'Flames and have proven you are ready to become a warrior, from this day forth under the guidance of Starclan you shall be known as Twilight'Dawn," Ember'Star nodded, "Twilight'Dawn!" the clan chanted again, "with that clan dismissed, new warriors you may begin your silent vigil," Ember'Star said before getting off the rock. I smile to Twilight as he walks by, he smiles back, "you got a thing for him?" Splattered asked sitting next to me, I watch him walk away still smiling, "Mud's got it bad!" Splattered laughed, "that has been clear for a while," Soot smirked nudging me a bit, "shut it-" I mutter looking away from Twilight. "You love him," Splattered teased, "oh zip it," I laugh tackling Splattered, we laugh as we role on the ground, "it's nice they've bonded," Soot said to Thistle, "indeed, they do look the most alike," Thistle chuckled.

I yawn as the sun begins setting, I look into camp to see Mud and their siblings heading to the apprentice den, I look to the water watching the water splash the side of the rocks, it was rather calm. Tigger'Lilly Quietly sits looking up at the stars coming into view, I zone out for I don't know how long but I'm snapped out of it by a noise to my left, I look to Moon and monition to the side, and she nods. I get up and jump across the rocks and go to the noise, I look around seeing nothing but before I could react a cat jumped out and sank their claws into my back pinning me to the ground, I hiss and slam the cat to the ground before I could attack the cat slammed me into a tree, I meow loudly in pain as I broken branch prices through my skin, the cat scratches me on the face peeling off my skin, with another stick the cat found they go to stab my throat but Moon distracted and they stabbed me in the eye, I hiss as I start to black out, I see Moon scare off the cat and turn to me, "Twilight?!" she gasped, "g-get me-med..." I mutter as I black out.

I wake up to commotion, I see cats rush into the med den as Thistle rushes around. I get up and padded over to Moon'Lilly who sits nervously by the entrance of the med den, "What happened...?" I ask, "Twilight got attacked... he's in a coma..." she muttered, I look into the med den to see the bloody sight my ears pin and I back up, "Holy Starclan..." I mutter, "Go get some rest... I'll make sure everything is ok," Moon said with a small smile, "are you sure- I could stay here with you-" I say, "I'm sure. Twilight wouldn't want you to stress yourself," she smiled, "alright... but if anything happens wake me up..." I mutter before making my way back to the apprentice den, I lie down unable to get comfortable. When I wake up Moon'Lilly is still outside of the med den as the rest of the clan is gathered in front of the wet rock, I look around seeing everyone was gone, I sit up hearing Ember'Star speak, "Our new warrior Twilight'Dawn was attacked last night on his silent vigil... Moon'Lilly was able to scare off the rouge before it could kill Twilight, but sadly the attack has put him in a coma... the cats closet to him will be allowed to ignore their duties for the next moon... hopeful he will wake up by then..." Ember'Star said, "now, meeting dismissed, warriors may train their apprentices, and patrols will be called soon," they said jumping off the rock. I watch as Ember'Star walks over to Moon'Lilly and says something, then they walk over to me, "I know you and Twilight are close so as long as you want you may take a break from training, when you wish to train just let me know," Ember'Star said with a smile, I nod and lie back down with a sigh.
