Chapter 10

Taehyung's hometown is gwangju, to which seoun village belongs. His father, Kim Daehyun is a famous CEO in gwangju. At that time, there was a small rift between taehyung's father and him because taehyung joined the police instead of taking over his business. So taehyung had stopped going home for years.

Thinking that this is the best chance to send taehyung out of seoul, the higher officials work together to transfer taehyung to the seoun sub-police station and assign taehyung to look for the seoun killing spree. Solving crimes inspired taehyung beyond his work, so taehyung didn't object to it. But when he thought that he had to leave jungkook alone, he felt heavy.
Therefore, before expressing his agreement about it, he thought to talk to jungkook about it.

On weekend, when taehyung came home, as usual, jungkook had come home and cleaned the house and cooked for the night.

"Hyungie did you come?" Taehyung avoided those eyes as he couldn't keep looking at those eyes that sparkled when he saw taehyung.

"Um"

"Take a wash. I'll prepare the dining table." When jungkook said, taehyung nodded and handed the bag in his hand to jungkook.

"What is this??" Taehyung smiled as jungkook peeked into the bag. Taehyung knew from experience that when he saw jungkook's cuteness, his tiredness would disappear automatically.

"Oh! Soju?" Taehyung nodded as jungkook stated.

"I have to tell you something. I will come after taking a shower." Taehyung said ruffling jungkook's hair and went straight to his room.

It didn't take long for jungkook's mind to fill with restless thoughts. But he took a deep breath and calmed down. Then he prepared the dining table and waited for taehyung to come.

Jungkook's heart skipped a beat when he saw taehyung walking towards him, stroking his wet hair.

"Handsome." Taehyung raised his eyebrows and looked at jungkook as the words came out of jungkook's mouth without him even realizing it.

"What?"

Prominent blush smeared over jungkook's cheeks and he quickly shook his head to say nothing.

After that, both of them ate while jungkook told taehyung the details of the week as usual. Taehyung liked that feeling a lot.. But as he remembered that he had to leave jungkook soon, he locked his feelings in a corner of his mind.

After eating, taehyung poured two glasses of soju and handed one to jungkook and took the other to him.

"What did you want to tell hyung?" Jungkook asked taking a sip.

Taehyung looked at jungkook and chugged down the glass of soju in one breath and filled another glass while jungkook's eyes filled with sadness. As taehyung's unusual behavior made jungkook uneasy, he grabbed taehyung's hand.
