Chapter 15

When the middle-aged man motioned for the police officer to come closer, the police officer approached him without a second thought.

"B-brown.. e-eyes.. belong t-to the... d-devil but.. b-black eyes are.. i-innocent.."  The middle-aged man who said that with difficulty lost his conscious and fell into the hands of the police officer.

Picking up that person with trembling hands, jungkook walked as fast as possible to his car while wishing that he could somehow save that person.

"Dad.." The man who came running towards the intensive care unit full of police officers was none other than kim taehyung. The middle-aged man, or kim daehyun's son, kim taehyung.
Jungkook was sitting on the floor at the door, still wearing his blood-stained shirt, shivering. Jungkook was in shock because it was the first time he faced such a dangerous situation even after five months of joining the duty. But when taehyung shouted 'appa', jungkook gasped. Taehyung came crying and crouched down infront of jungkook and hugged him tightly. Jungkook immediately wrapped his arms around taehyung and tried to calm him down, not even knowing why he was crying.

"Taehyung, please man.. be strong." Namjoon approached the two of them and patted taehyung on the back trying to calm him down.

"But.. h-he is.. my a-appa.. who did this to him?" Jungkook choked as taehyung pulled away from him and asked, wiping his tears.

"That... that's the one we're looking for.. the killer.. I'm sure it's him.." Jungkook continued as if on impulse.

"H-how do you say that exactly? You.. did you see him?" Taehyung placed his hands on jungkook's shoulders and looked into his eyes, but jungkook shook his head no.

"Then.. why did you say that?"

"Y-your a-appa.. h-he was so weak.. he was.. completely covered in blood. A normal h-human can't be.. t-that c-cruel." Others also agreed with jungkook. However jungkook decided not to tell anyone what kim daehyun said last time.

"Brown eyes are devil's.. Black eyes are innocent. What does that mean?" It bothered jungkook.

After a while, Dr. Jin came out.

"Doctor, how is my father??" Jin shook his head and looked down. As taehyung fell to the ground, jungkook quickly came and hugged him.

"I'm sorry detective taehyung.. we tried our best.. but with your father's age, he didn't have enough strength to survive such a terrible accident." Jin said with worry and turned back to leave. But namjoon grabbed his hand and dragged him to a corner.

"Doctor, what is the cause of death? What kind of injuries did he have on his body?" As namjoon asked, jin let out a deep sigh and looked at him with a serious expression.

"All the blows were full of fury. That person's aim was to somehow kill kim daehyun. Did you check the crime scene?"

"Yes, junghwa went there with sana.. but so far nothing suspicious has been found."
