Part2 of "Jealousy"
Guinevere was not the violent type. She actually wasn't at all. She has always believed that violence never solves anything. It was a big contrast because she was friends with the most impulsive girl you could know. Maddy Perez.
The Latina couldn't keep her cool. And fought very often let out her anger by violence. What Guinvere was trying to avoid. Getting Maddy out of trouble helped by this one's girlfriend, Lexi.
But when her friend had a fight with her girlfriend. Things had become complicated to manage for the blonde.
"I'm not picking sides." She said calmly taking the keys of her apartment from the table.
Tara came out of the hallway following her through the living room.
"You don't have to pick sides, you've already done that. You choose her over me." She argues back, handing her the glasses to Guinevere who seemed to be looking for them.
"I didn't-" "You did. I feel like I barely see you these days." She cut her off trying to hide the hurt in her voice.
And it was true, Guinevere had pretty much spent the week with Maddy. At work, at school and outside. The only times she saw her girlfriend was when she came home at night. And still, she sometimes had to stay at her apartment with Sam and couldn't see her all day. Not to mention that Guinevere is a terrible texter, she forgot to reply to Tara's texts all the time.
Guinevere sighed putting on her sweater pulling her head out of her collar, Tara helping her replace her hair.
"Can we just-" "Talk about it later ? Damn Guinevere you tell me that every single time !" She raised her voice at the end of her sentence startling the blonde.
She stooped to tie her shoelaces struggling to tie the threads together.
"I'm sorry. But are you sure you don't want to talk about it with Maddy instead of me ?" She said quietly as the brunette bent down to her level to quickly tie her shoelaces under her watching gaze.
She really wanted these two to get along but they were really stubborn. On each side.
Guinevere got up first, holding out her hand to Tara who, once up, answered her.
"The last time we spoke, it didn't end well." Tara grabbed one of Guinevere's pills slipping into her hand.
"I know." She bit her tongue feeling guilty. "But maybe if you two make it up-"
"When are you going to realize that-" She cut herself off seeing the blonde tilt her head looking at her curiously.
She scoffed rolling her eyes. "God you know what ? Do what you want I don't care !"
The blonde paused her ears starting to ring sending a thud through her mind. "Why are you yelling at me ?"
"I'm-" The brunette took a deep breath.
"Are you mad ?"
"Yes, but not against you. Not entirely against you." She finally said biting her lip.
The blonde approached taking Tara in her arms. The brunette rested her head against her shoulder inhaling her scent, her arms wrapped around her waist.
"I'm sorry."
