"Where are you going ?" Gaby shouted seeing her friend walking away, sinking into the crowd.
"The bathroom !" She yelled back, signaling her not to worry about her.
She nodded in response and tried to push her way through all the sweaty teenagers dancing.
She didn't want to come to this party. But Gaby had been so convincing all week that Ciara had reluctantly agreed. So here she is, climbing the stairs to finally be able to breathe in this suffocating environment that is a teenager party in high school. She was very outgoing. She had lots of friends and was even more than popular. But she just didn't like parties, she preferred hanging out with all her friends without the alcoholand noise and drugs all over the place.
"Finally." She whispered to herself when she saw the door she had been looking for for long.
She entered quickly and locked the door after turning on the light. She walked in front of the mirror and placed her bag on the edge of the sink, then pulled out something to fix her makeup.
"Puoi spegnere la luce per favore? I miei occhi bruceranno." A low voice mumbled.
Ciara jumped and turned around to see someone lying in the tub.
"What the fuck." She said putting a hand on her chest as if she had a heart attack.
She approached slowly and gasped when the person stuck her head out hooking both hands on the edge of the tub.
"I'm sorry I scared you." She smiled brightly, her dilated eyes looking intently at her. "You can continue your makeup or whatever."
The girl lay down right after, her hands behind her head. Ciara blinked twice before heading back to the sink, not knowing what to say. She continued to do her makeup silently while the girl was humming a song and tapping the ledge with one of her fingers.
When she was done, she put everything back in her bag and sat down on the edge of the sink, casting slight glances at the girl who was staring dreamily at the ceiling.
"Are you going to stay here long ?" She asked softly.
"You want me to leave ?" She raised an eyebrow.
"No. I like your hair-" She sat up resting one elbow on the ledge and the palm of her hand against her cheek. "it's like waves. It's pretty."
She chuckled. "Thanks."
Ciara swung her feet in the air as she looked away. The girl giggled too and seemed to turn around in the tub looking for something.
"What are you looking for ?" She asked, leaning slightly to see her better.
"My phone." She mumbled as she put her hands all over her pockets.
Her face lit up when she finally managed to catch it. "There it is."
Ciara watched her tapping on the screen, sticking her tongue out a little to the side. Then she groaned and put her phone down again before sighing.
"What's wrong ?"
"I can't see the letters on it anymore." She mumbled as she rested her forehead on the edge of the tub. "I knew I shouldn't have mixed all that alcohol together."
"You're drunk ?" She asked surprised. The girl seemed rather clear-headed for someone who had drunk a lot of alcohol.
"Yeah. Maybe. A little. A lot." She lifted her head suddenly and looked at Ciara in the eyes. "Do you know Bruce Wayne ? He's giving sushi vibes, didn't he ?"
