Amelia gave a judgmental look to Kai as they ordered their ice cream. She had already been given hers, chocolate with rainbow sprinkles.

"What was that look for?" Kai looked down to their girlfriend.

"Mint chocolate chip.. Really?" Amelia said, "I didn't know you liked that flavor."

"It's one of my top five favorites, is that a problem Shepherd?" Kai took the ice cream from the worker and handed them their card before Amelia got the chance to pay.

"I don't like mint chocolate chip." Amelia said.

"Good thing it's not for you." Kai chuckled. They sat at one of the open benches outside.

"You're supposed to get a flavor we both like, like mine. You like chocolate ice cream. It's so that we can share." Amelia took a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth.

"Since when was that a rule?"

"Since you started dating me." Amelia smiled.

"Shepherd, if I got a flavor we both liked I'd be limited to the 3 most basic choices." Kai leaned back against the chair content with their ice cream, "I mean have you ever even tried this flavor?"

"When I was little I tasted it." Amelia said.

"That was too long ago, you should try it now." Kai suggested.

"I'm perfectly fine with my chocolate ice cream." Amelia said, stubbornly.

Kai reached out their spoon with the mint chocolate chip ice cream, "Do you trust me? It's good."

Amelia took the spoon and licked the ice cream causing Kai to smirk.

"It's okay. Not better than mine, but it's okay." Amelia gave them a spoonful of her ice cream to share.
