"Can you look at me? Please?"

"Amelia, do you still have my blue sweatshirt from last time I was here?" Kai walked in her bedroom.

She was supposed to be driving them to the airport in two hours, she was still in bed while they got their stuff together.

"What? No.." Amelia shrugged, "Have no idea where that went."

"You're such a bad liar." Kai smirked at her.

"I'm not lying, I didn't steal it." Amelia pouted, dropping her head back on her pillow.

"Amelia, I saw you wearing it on FaceTime last week." Kai sat at the edge of the bed, "So where is it?"

"I want to keep it. It's the only sweatshirt I have of yours." Amelia hid her face in the pillow.

"I can give you a new one." Kai offered.

"I don't want a new one. I like that one." Amelia said.

"That one probably needs to be washed. I'll give you one that smells like me and then you'll eventually get the blue one back." Kai placed their hand on her hip over the sheets.

"But-"

"Amelia, you know I don't like to be late to my flights. I'll give you more sweatshirts in return, I like wearing my blue one the most."

Amelia turned her body to face the other way, "It's in my dresser, bottom drawer."

"Is everything okay? I'll give you more sweatshirts."

"It's not about the sweatshirts." Amelia said.

"Can you look at me? Please?" Kai asked. Amelia turned back over, looking into their eyes. "What's wrong? I can't leave if you're not okay."

"I hate it when you leave. I want to go with you but I can't. I have Scout this week. I just miss you with every bone in my body when you're not around." Amelia said, she looked away.

Kai had gotten up and left the room. Amelia teared up, fearing she had said the wrong thing. Kai came back a few minutes later. Amelia sat up and reached for her keys on the nightstand. "I guess we should get ready to go,"

"I canceled my flight." Kai said.

"What about work?" Amelia asked.

"I spoke to David. I'm going to stay a few more days, okay?" Kai said. Amelia hugged them, "But I really do want to wash that sweatshirt."

"Shut up," Amelia kissed them.
