It's been 3 years. 3 long years. I was sitting in my lab doing the usual testing, in all honesty i was quite nervous when Janson called me in a couple other people up.

" Alright group A is in " Janson announced.

" You're assigned subjects are listed you need to give them the serum file of their history is available once you enter the lab. Good luck " Janson said, flicking through the pagesof his clipboard " we need two people to hold a subject A2 down which is Thomas. Isabel and Michael you are assigned for that.  subject A7 Minho Paul you have been assigned for him. A3 which is Theresa Lucy you have been assigned for Theresa. " Janson call out to each one as everybody nodded, standing up and moving towards the filling room.

" all right okay subject A5 Newt we have Serena and just a note for you Selena I was quite hesitant to assign you to subject A5 for obvious reasons stay professional." He called out firmly which I just nodded too.

It took a while to find Isaac's file but once I found it I realized I now have to call him Newt this was gonna be hard it's like everything was going in slowmo, seeing him would be

I made my way down the hall scanning for a familiar head of blonde locks I haven't seen in three years 28 days and seven months.

I let my gaze drift into the lab as I walked down the center, my shoes clicking agenst the hard floor most of the curtains were closed all but one, brushing the whiskey bits of hair out of my face smoothing my lab coat out I appeared over the drape curtain.

" Newt " I asked taking a glance.

And that's when I saw him, it was like time froze.

My Isaac or well newt now.

His his messy blonde hair his dark chocolate brown eyes however he had a rather large scratch across the side of his face. He was more masculine his face was a little rougher and his gaze was harsher as if I was the one who put him there.

The maze had ruined him.

I don't know how I'm going to be able to do this. I thought to myself taking in a deep breath.

" Yeah" he responded silently.

I blinked back the tears that were about peel over my eyes and swallowed the feeling of heartbreak as I walked closer it felt like I was trying to swallow boulders. The lump in my throat began to get bigger.

All I wanted to do was to hold him back from any harm.

" I'm here to do a check up on you " I announced sitting in the chair setting the file down, I crossed my right leg over my other, slipping on my bule surgical gloves.

" Check me" he repeated, with a hateful tone in his thick English accent.

" Yes " I breathed deeply as I brought out the syringe.

" Uh what is that " he asked, his eyes darting over to the liquid in the syringe.

" Um well that's got calcium Kool-Aid pretty much everything you've been deprived over relax ok look at me " I said calmly.

" Who are you " his voice sounded threatening it was no longer sweet. It made them nott in my stomach titan.

" Well my name is Selena. I don't really think that helps but trust me " I began setting up the small movable table.

He's scoffed." I think I've been lied to a bloody thank you " I flinched at how harsh his voice was.

" Well I guess I can't do anything about that. "  I sighed picking up the syringe.

" How do you people know our names" he demanded rolling his sleeves above his elbows.

" I'm not supposed to say " I mentally hit myself letting my gard down in front of Isaac was inevitable. He could always see right through me he knew me like he knew himself.
