Ethan never wrote another letter to his mother or Ethan again. He grew to get used to the stares, and finally he just didn't care about them anymore.
When he was ten, Uncle Ull passed away because of the flu. His grandparents were already dead. Ethan was sent to an orphanage where he spent the rest of his short life. He died one day in the orphanage because of a low blood count at age eleven.
