Hazel's POV

After breakfast Daisy, Amina and I met the boys at the swimming pool. I don't think my father approved of us swimming with boys however he didn't say anything.

I was sat on the side, reading my book when I was rudely interrupted by Daisy shouting, "Hazel stop being boring, come and join us in the water."

"No thanks," I called back.

I was content with reading my book rather than getting wet. I turned a page then felt myself being dragged towards the pool.

"Throw her in!" Exclaimed Daisy.

I struggled to get free however it was difficult when George had my legs and Daisy was grabbing my arms. They threw me into the pool then jumped in after me. As I emerged from under the water I spluttered "what the fuck was that for you bastards."

George, Amina, Daisy and Alexander burst into laughter.

"What." I glared at them.

"You, swore." Giggled Alexander.

His hair was wet and a lock was touching hie eyelid. I swam over and brushed it out of his eye. He blushed but muttered his thanks.

"Hazel I have never heard you swear." George chuckled.

"No because most of the time I do it in Cantonese." I shrugged.

"Ohhhh so that's what you're always muttering." Daisy gasped.

I nodded then suggested that we have a race. They all agreed.

"So to the end of the pool and back." Amina stated.

We all nodded.

"3...2...1...GO." shouted Daisy.

I pushed off from the wall and swam as fast as I could. The water in this pool was like the water I practiced swimming in in Hong Kong. I was warm unlike the awful British sea. I was quite a strong swimmer and it appeared that I was faster than the others because in under 2 minutes I was back to where we started while the others had only just got to the other side.

"Wow that was amazing Hazel." Alexander exclaimed as he swam up to me.

"Thanks Alex, you're a great swimmer." I grinned.

"I'm no way as good as you." He laughed.

I blushed. Damn this boy could make me blush as easily as it was for a teacher to complain about a class being too loud.

"Holy shit Hazel I didn't know you could swim so well." Daisy stated, surprised.

I laughed.

When everyone got back to the side, George suggested a battle.

"Oh no." Amina whispered.

"Let's do, boys vs girls." George announced.

"Start...now" Daisy shouted before swimming towards George.

I turned to Alexander and tried to duck him under the water however it was difficult seeing as he was so tall. I ended on his shoulders, trying to push him down into the water. Alexander was laughing at my failed attempts then out of pity bent down underneath the water.

"Ha girls for the win!" I exclaimed then laughed.

Alexander picked me up, threw me over his shoulder then whispered "are you sure about that Haz."

We both laughed. I wriggled free from his grip and fell into the water.

"Careful Hazel, don't drown yourself." Amina called from where she was with Daisy.

I emerged from under the water as Alexander called, "don't worry I'll keep her safe."

Daisy glared over at Alexander then said "Hazel you're an idiot for needing protection from Longarms"

I rolled my eyes then as dramatically as possible I pointed at Daisy and shouted "Alex save me from the mean girl."

Alexander wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to him.

"Oh my poor Hazel, what will we do." He exclaimed, going along with my joke.

I clutched Alexander as I responded "I don't know, all I know is that you are my knight in shining armour for keeping me safe."

Alexander blushed slightly but held me close as he chuckled "my dear Hazel I shall protect you from the nasty Daisy."

He called me my dear. Ahhhhhhh I love him. I had to try not to swoon as I held on to him. Was he trying to flirt with me?

Daisy was gaping at the pair of us - I don't think she knew quite what to think. Amina was grinning while George was looking at us, an expression of amusement on his face.

I looked up at Alexander and grinned at him. He grinned back and I had to try and not faint. He is so handsome. Does he like me? I sure hope so. We stared into each others eyes. Blue met brown in a moment to romantic (I hope) tension.

But then the moment was gone. A voice shouted "WONG FUNG YING WHAT IS GOING ON."
