Alexander's POV

The next few days went past without any extremely interesting developments. Daisy, George and Amina were still none the wiser to the fact that Hazel and I had shared our first kiss. I still need to officially ask her to be my girlfriend - we have kissed multiple times however in case Hazel was unsure if we were official or not and because it gives me the chance to sort of make the first move given that Hazel has beaten me to it at least twice.

Throughout the course of the past few days, Hazel and I had endured a lot of teasing from Daisy and George - a common occurrence would be George asking me if I was trying to drown myself in cologne - it was frustrating however what made it worth it is the look that will be on their faces when Hazel and I inevitably have to tell them. That will wipe the smirks off their faces as we played them like a game of chess. Actually that was a good simile - I may just have to say that.

While we were at the museum 3 days after Hazel and I first kissed, we decided to reveal our relationship on the morning we got off the boat. In front of everyone - even Hazel's father. The plan we came up with was to frustrate them so much into spilling the beans that I liked Hazel and Hazel liked me. We will then do a speech then kiss. Well something along those lines. It will be fun, terrifying and amazing.

It has been 5 days since we first kissed and I have finally built up the courage to ask Hazel an important question - if she will be my girlfriend. I got up and walked to Hazel's cabin.

Hazel's POV

I can't believe it's been 5 days since Alex and I kissed for the first time. It's been amazing and surprisingly easy to hide the fact that we are dating (I think we're dating, it's a bit confusing). Alex and I have just been acting as we usually did around each other - awkward, oblivious and a little flirty.

There was a knock at my door, "come in," I called.

Alexander walked in and I grinned, "Hey Alex good to see you."

Alex walked in and shut the door behind him before rushing over and kissing me.

"Hey Haz, good to see too." He grinned, holding me close.

I could smell his cologne - I liked it - it was hard to describe what it smelt of given that I had never smelt something quite like it.

"How are you doing Alex?" I asked, leaning my head on his chest.

That had swiftly become the normal thing for me to do when we hugged - it definitely cut out the awkwardness.

"I'm doing good thanks Hazel - especially now that I'm with you," He smiled, putting his arms around me.

My heart melted. Alexander was very good at the sappy romance stuff and I love it, it's adorable.

"How are you, are you looking forward to our plan?" Alexander asked.

"I'm good thanks Alex, I can't wait to put our plan into action. It will be a shame that we are leaving Egypt and returning to England however I shall return the happiest girl in the world." I grinned.

"Hazel I have something to ask you," Alex started nervously.

"Hey no need to be nervous Alex, you're only talking to me." I smiled reassuringly before gently kissing him on the lips.

"Thanks Haz, anyway I wanted to ask you, will you be my girlfriend?" He whispered.

I could see how nervous he was however that didn't stop me from chuckling "Why are you so nervous, you didn't think I'd say no did you?"

Alexander smiled sheepishly - evidently he HAD been worried that I would say no. I rolled my eyes.

"Alex I love you more than anyone in the world, why would I say no?" I whispered.

Alexander stared at me, "You love me?" he asked quietly.

"Yes, I have for a very long time." I responded simply.

"I love you too Hazel." He grinned.

I turned slightly pink then kissed him on the lips.

"Just checking, you said yes to becoming my girlfriend right?" He queried.

I rolled my eyes and chuckled, "yes Alex I would love to be your girlfriend."

I grinned up at him and he stared down at me, my heart swelled. They say that when you find the person you truly love - your soulmate - your heart feels complete and as though you have unlocked the part of it that was missing. My heart has been filled, the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle was found and it's name was Alexander Arcady.
