Will's struggle.

when a horse comes in handy... pt1.

It was 3 weeks after the attack. Will haven't got another episode, but he did have nightmares, zone outs and a lot of flinching. But overall, he did pretty well.

Will was send by Halt to go to a village that was around 10km/6 miles away from the cabin. Tug was more then happy to be with his owner again to go on a mission. Even though it was a small mission, it did feel good to be working again. Will had to deliver some news to the local people in Toss, the small village further in the Araluen. While he was there, he had to buy some coffee too, Halt urgently said, because it was the best you could get here. 

So Will was happy. This was one of the easier tasks he has to do while being an apprentice. Some missions includes catching bandids... Lets just say that this was an easier task.

''I get to buy coffee today.'', Will said to Tug exited.

You get your coffee, I get apples? Tug replied, and of course with a sassy head-swing.

''Yeah, probably. If there is a market there, I will buy you some. But please don't tell halt, he'll get mad at me for giving you more apples then normal.", Will responded.

You really think i will snitch you when I get apples? 

Will laughed. Sometimes Tug could be really sassy when it came to apples and food. 

Sometimes Will wondered if he just imagined the conversations with his horse. Talking with an animal? He has seen Halt talking with Abelard.... so it could be real, right? If Halt did it, then  its true! He liked the fact that he could chat with his best friend. Especially when he was on a mission Because the nerves crept up to him with every second. The thought of being kidnapped again...

KKRGT!

Will immediately snapped out of his thoughts. What was that? A bad person? A Skandian? Another ranger maybe? 

But Will got comforted right away by Tug's ears. He told him that it was just a branch that snapped because of a bird. Will's heartbeat was racing, and panicking by the alarming sound.

Its a tree branch, Will. Nothing is going on. Why you so scared of a tree?

''I'm just nervous, Tugg. And scared'', Will replied.

Well, its just a tree. So nothing is wrong. It's okay

''Yeah, iknow Tug, its just hard, you know'

Tugg replied with a twitching muscle, but Will knew that he was comforting him. Even though it was spring, it was a cold morning that send shivers down his spine.

Even though Will was almost recovered now, the thoughts and his past were still here. They were still present, even in this moment. And it scared him. Because Will knew that he was safe, but the time in Skandia kept reminding him of the horrible things he had been through. Sometimes he forgot, that he was still a child. It was normal to feel emotions, but he wanted to shut them off. Emotions ruined his concentration and took him back to Skandia. 

And if it wasn't worse enough, it started raining. Pouring rain fell on Will's cloak and soon it soaked through. It was cold, real cold. Will was shivering uncontrollably and was exhausted. He was fighting back the thoughts that came up to him, trying not to cry. 

Tug sensed something was wrong with Will. Without any command of Will, he stopped. 

you need to rest.

''N-no we have to go f-further Tug, we have to be there on t-time..'', Will sighed. He was exhausted. His past took a lot of energy off him and made him weak.

But before he could say anything more, he swung in the saddle and fell of. Everything went by in a blur, and before he knew he hit the ground. With a loud thud he landed on the ground. When he tried to lift his head, everything was spinning around and he saw stars. 

Will began to panic. Why was he feeling so dizzy all of the sudden? His breath started to accelerate. Soon, he was out of breath and felt even more dizzy. With every minute, more panic crept up in him. Slowly, the dark memories of his past started to rise up again. Will tried to keep them away, pushing them away by thinking about happy things like Halt and Gilan, but he failed. His past overtook him...

Cliffhanger!  i love the story i have in mind, so ill probably write more these days! im excited hehe... lmk what you think and dont forget to vote! love you !
