Scott was the first one awake the next morning. He turned his head to face Jimmy and noticed that he was still asleep. Careful to not wake the codfish up, Scott got out of bed very slowly. He walked over to the window and gasped. It was snowing outside. It never snowed in the Cod Empire. Ignoring the little feeling that he shouldn't wake Jimmy up, he shook the blonde boy awake.
Jimmy let out muffled, "What time is it?" and, "Just let me sleep."
"Jimmy! Wake up! You need to see this!"
Jimmy sat up in bed and said, "Hey Scott? Is it cold in here to you?"
Scott looked around rapidly, just to see if there was any ice inside, and once he was satisfied that there was none inside the room he said, "No, but if you look outside you'll know why it's cold."
Jimmy crawled out of bed and joined Scott at the window wrapping his arm around the elf's shoulder. "Oh." he looked at Scott, "If you did this, then why is there no snow or ice in here?"
"I don't know," Scott admitted, "But I think that if this continues, I might become a danger to everyone, " he paused, "Even you."
Jimmy thought for a moment before saying, "I think that with practice and patience, you will be able to control your power."
"Really?"
"Yeah, it'll just take time, and, plus, we have Wizard Gem. She could help you too. And I'll be with you the whole way."
Scott smiled. He had Jimmy in his life. How did he get so lucky?
