Jimmy watched Scott fly away with tears in his eyes, but then he saw Gem, crouched on the ground. He picked her up bridal style and set her on his bed. Her breathing was irregular now, and she was cold to the touch. Jimmy ran to the stable as fast as he could, strapped on Pisces' saddle, and set Gem on top of his horse. He hopped on behind the wizard and said, "Pisces! C'mon! We have to hurry!"
She seemed to understand and sped towards the Crystal Cliffs.

fWhip looked around the mountainside. He had been searching for Gem all day, and he still hadn't found her. Her citizens didn't know where she was either. And then, fWhip saw someone riding on a horse down the city center. And they had Gem. He rushed forwards while the stranger got off the horse and pulled Gem off the saddle.
"Hey! What're you doing?" fWhip yelled.
The stranger turned towards fWhip, "I need help! She- she- she's hurt, and I don't know what to do, and Scott's gone, and the swamps covered in snow, and-" he stopped rambling when fWhip put a hand on the boy's shoulder.
"Here, shhh. I need you to tell me what happened." fWhip made sure to sound gentle because the kid had clearly been through a lot.
"The prince of Rivendell has ice powers and he accidentally froze the Swamp Empire and Gem, and he flew away and now I'm worried about him and-" he paused and looked at Gem who was cradled in his arms, "-and, Gem's so so cold! She was trying to help Scott but I think she pushed him too far, and this happened."
"Here, let me take her," fWhip said, and the boy held her out so fWhip could take her. "So," fWhip tried to lighten the conversation, "What's your name? And why do you have to protect the swamp?"
"My name's Jimmy, and I'm the prince of the Swamp Empire."
They continued walking towards the hospital cabin, "Mkay." fWhip said simply. It was a lot to take in. This Scott character had hurt his sister, and at the moment fWhip didn't care whether it was an accident or not, but the prince next to him seemed worried about Scott, so fWhip wasn't gonna express his feelings about the elf out loud.
Jimmy opened the heavy dark oak door of the hospital for fWhip and they both walked inside. fWhip set his sister down on one of the beds and a nurse immediately rushed forwards to tend to her. "You should probably go back to your kingdom," fWhip said, and Jimmy nodded. Jimmy swished his fish tail and spun around to head out the door.
He turned his head back, "When she wakes up, could you tell me?"
fWhip nodded and watched the cod hybrid walk out the door and shut it behind him. He shuffled over to Gem's bed and inspected her again, silently scanning for any injuries. And, fWhip hadn't noticed it before, but there was a thin strip of white hair among the normal red.
