"Y/N!!" I heard Tanjiro call out
I wiped the sweat from my forehead as I had just gotten a break from training,
"TANJIRO!"

Shinazugawa had gone inside after hearing Tanjiro call out your name, he was too annoyed by the both of you. It was like a blinding light when you both smiled it just reminded him too much of the sun. Tanjiro had brought you into a hug, being careful not to squish the delicious snack he had brought from the butterfly mansion.
"I brought you some rice balls, Aoi made it when she heard I was going to see you." He handed me a small cloth
"Ah! Thank you! I was afraid Shinazugawa wasn't going to feed me again.." I sighed, we sat under the shade of the gigantic Japanese maple tree.
"HE HASN'T FED YOU?!" Tanjiro had a distressed look on his face
"Well, not like starving! Actually maybe like starving.. It's just I haven't been able to keep up total concentration constant." His expression didn't change, if anything it got worse.
"It helps when thinking of the people I wish to protect or want to be proud of me. It drives me to work hard, and I think it'll help you too!" His bright smile spread across his face. It was so contagious.
"People I want to protect.." I thought for a moment, obviously my brother. My driving motivation was getting a cure for Yuuto. But I want to protect Tanjiro too..
"You want to protect me?" His words snapped me out of my thoughts
"Huh? DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD?!" My face was beginning to match the shade of a cherry
He started to laugh. The sight squeezed my heart and softened my eyes. I didn't even realize I was staring. The scar on his forehead only made him look more handsome, that smile that could bring anyone's mood up, that laughter that sounded like bells ringing. He was just perfect in my eyes.
