I scrambled to my feet, only to get shot right back down and dragged away by someone. There I was met with the face of the younger Shinazugawa. He held a finger to his lips, signaling for me to be quiet, and handed me medical supplies so I could heal.
I slowly started to work, stitching up the larger wounds and ignoring the smaller ones since I'd stopped those with breaths. As Genya pulled out his gun, preparing to shoot, the demon moon disappeared from his spot.
"GENYA, MOVE!" I tried to reach for my sickles and block the attack that was going for him
His arm was sliced off in a matter of a second, the younger Shinazugawa reaching for his wakizashi, but the demon moon didn't allow it. Genya's torso was sliced in half, leaving him to bleed out.
I willed myself to my feet, going for the neck or to at least move Genya away. I made a sure slice, but the sword of the demon was still going down.
I blocked the strike, after dropping one of my sickles. Using both hands on one hilt, I shoved against the force.
My nirichin blade was coming closer and closer to my neck. I started sweating. I couldn't do anything. I can't get out of this force. Even if I could, Genya would die.
"Breath of wind, fourth form: Rising dust storm."
The pressure was taken back. I fell back on my ass. But as I looked up, I was met with the sight of the white-haired male from the beginning.
"I'm serious here. You two are really pathetic. Why do you think I went as far as killing our own mother, Genya? Y/n, you really thought I hated you? Just stupid. I wanted to protect you both!"
