Chapter 18: The Power of the Gods

Y/N's POV

     We are all gathered outside to do our usual training, by all I mean me, Fushiguro-san, Kugisaki-san, Maki-senpai, Inumaki-senpai and Panda-senpai. It's exactly 12:00 P.M and the sun is so high up in the sky, it's so hot!! I just want to sleep, with a fan directly on me while listening to music. I want to sue, I was drag here with no consent at all, by none other than Maki-senpai.

*Flashback

     I woke up early today, 5:30 in the morning, all though I slept late, though I don't what time since I slept accidentally because I'm reading my manga. I was just so invested that I don't want to sleep, but the next thing I knew, I'm asleep. I just woke up with my phone still awake, with the manga still open. I'm currently reading this manga named Mashel, it's so funny and so good.

     I charged my phone since it's only 20% and continue reading. I'm so into reading that I didn't notice that someone is calling me outside, the next thing I knew someone bursted into my room.

     "Do you not know how to kno-!?" Only to see it was Maki-senpai glaring at me.

     "Y/N, do you know what time is it now?"     

     I just look at Maki-senpai, still tired. I want to go back to sleep, but I know that if I do, all hell will break loose.

     "Breakfast?"

     She just look at me with the most disappointed and pissed look, RIP to me I guess.

     "..... Or not?"

     She just pulled me up harshly and yell.

     "YOU'RE ALREADY LATE TO TRAINING!"

     I just nod and run to my bathroom to freshen up, goodbye sleep, don't worry we will see each other again later.

*Flashback end

     We're all sitting under the tree to at least get away from the hot and harsh sun rays. I'm currently reading a manga named Jigokuraku. It's really good, I can't stop reading, I hope they make this into an anime. I will really watch it.

     "Oy, breaks over, stand up, we have to prepare for the event." Maki-senpai told us while holding a wooden sword.

And my dumb self really have to say something.

     "No, still busy." Only to receive a harsh hit in the head.

     "Y/N, I see that you are eager to learn, stand up we will spar." Ha? When did I say I'm eager to learn?

     "Wait Maki-senpai, I'm just joking, and when did I say I want to learn?" That only fuel up the fire.

     She glared at me, I look at Fushiguro-san for help, but he just stood up and went to Panda-senpai to train, I look at Kugisaki-san only to see her walking towards Inumaki-senpai. I look at all of them with betrayal, this traitors.

     When I look forward, I was faced with an angry Maki-senpai.

     "Spare me please." She just smiled and attack me. Well, it looks like I'm gonna die now.

      It's already evening, exactly 7:00 PM, I just wanna lay down and sleep, but I haven't eaten yet. So I started walking towards my room, I remember I have my snacks there, I may be hungry, but I don't have the energy to eat, does that make sense?

    
     When I reach my room, I gathered all the snacks that I have which consist of red bean paste bun, chocolate bun, macha bun, and some soda. (A/N: you guys can pick what type of soda you want, I'm actually a sprite and royal fan.)

     I sit on my bed, pick up my headphones, plug it into my phone and pick a song. (A/N: again, you guys can pick a song you want.) After that, I continue reading my manga. I'm so invested in reading that I failed to notice someone entered my room, and hold my shoulders.

     "What are you doing?"

     "AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" I accidentally let go of my phone, and reach the nearest thing beside me which is my soda, and hit the person in the head.

     "Ow, that kinda hurt, I guess."

     "Raijin-san? What are you doing here?" I asked him, he's in his human form looking bored as ever. I pull my headphones down and let it rest on my neck. "Oh nothing, I'm just bored." Typical Raijin-san.

     We just stay quiet in each other's presence,the atmosphere is just relaxed and not tense. I offer him a Choco bun but he politely declined.

     "Do you know that you can borrow our powers?" He spoke out of the blue. "What?" I asked him.

     "You can borrow our powers." I just look at him with a questioning look.

     "By doing that, you exert less energy meaning you don't have to get weak or faint every time you summon us. Though, this is much more straining to the body since a God's power is, obviously not easy to wield." This surprised me, I can do that? I can borrow their powers?

     " Raijin-san, can you explain it more further."

     "All you have to do is think that you are the God yourself, picture yourself using that certain God's power. Example me, you choose to borrow my power, imagine yourself as me, think that you are Raijin the Lightning God, picture yourself holding my weapon. This technique needs a huge amount of concentration and body training, so that you don't hurt your body too much. Just like Midoriya who have train his body to prepare it for All Might's power." I nod my head, understanding what he said, but wait... "Raijin-san, how do you know Midoriya from My Hero Academia?"

     "This technique will be very useful for you, especially to the upcoming event, we don't know what the higher ups will do. Who knows they might prevent you from doing something, I don't know if they know who you are now, but no matter, if they try to hurt you, I guess we wouldn't care if we kill them, and if they replace it with another new higher up, we can just kill them again, no problem."
He just ignored my question and should I be worried about what he just said.

     I mean I don't care about those crusty old higher ups, because of them my bestfriend is dead, they can all die for all I care.

     I myself can see the benefit of mastering this technique, I will still rely on their powers, but I can make it my own since I will wield it. Using their powers and mastering it in my own way. That will be cool. Then again, it will be hard. Here I am just wanting to sleep and lay down in bed, reading my manga or watching anime, but I don't have any choice, I don't wanna be a burden to anyone.

     "Do you want me to help you in training? I mean, I don't have much to do so why not help you."

     I stand up and bow down to him. "Please do Raijin-san, I want to get stronger." So that what happened to Yuji won't happen again to anyone, I know it's impossible but there's nothing wrong with trying.

     "Lower down you bow more." I just look at him to see if his joking, but looks like he's not. When I was about to do it since I don't have a choice, and I mean, I'm talking to a God here, he stop me. "Just joking. Hehe." Raijin-san is so creepy.

     "Come on let's go." He said and stand up. "But, Raijin-san it's already evening."

     He just look at me and said "Oh. Ok." And lay down on the floor. "I will just sleep here I guess."

     I guess I'm done for this day.

    

A/N: I WOULD LIKE TO SAY I'M SORRY!!! I know it's been months since I last update, it's just that school works is draining me, I'm always thinking about updating, but then I remember all the pending school works I have to do. As I said, I promise I will update this book as long as I can.
