After class I went to the bathroom and changed. After neatly folding my dress into my bag, I walked out of the bathroom with quite a surprise.
"Took you long enough." I raise my eyebrow.
"Why aren't you in class?" Art shrugs. "Art."
"What do you think Weirdo? I'm gonna walk you to class." I lick my lip and shake my head.
"Why?"
"Why not?" I smile and walk over to him. He smiles lightly and we walk to music class. "I have a question for you."
"Okay."
"Why were you spying on me playing the piano for my music final?" I bite my lip and shrug.
"I was putting my instrument away and I didn't wanna interrupt." Before I know what's going on Art pulls me to the side, pushing me against the wall. "Art people are gonna see us." I say with a blush.
"Let them see." I look up at him, his eyes sparking. "You seemed really interested." I swallow hard.
"My Love..." He raises his eyebrow, "By Sia. My dad used to play that for me all the time and I'd sing. It was our thing." Art scans my face and I feel a tear fall. Before I can wipe the tear, I feel Art do it for me.
"I'm sorry to put you through that." I swallow hard.
"Art... Why are you so nice to me? And why are you-" I couldn't even finish the sentence, Art kissed me... In the middle of the hallway... As people were walking past us...
I cup his face and kiss him back. Unfortunately it was cut short, "Okay kids." We pull away and look over at Jane, Mr. B's wife, with a smile on her face, "Get to class. It's your senior year and you're almost done. Don't slack off now, plus I wouldn't want you two to get in any real trouble." She winks and laughs. I feel a blush rise to my cheek but Art just backs away from me.
"Understood." She smiles. "We'll see you later." Art says with a smile.
"Okay. Bye." She walks away and Art exhales heavily.
"Well shit." I look over at him. "Oh well. Come on." He holds out his hand and I look at it questioningly.
"What?"
"Okay, the idea is for you to grab my hand and we walk to class." I raise an eyebrow. "You're not that stupid are you?" I smack his chest and he laughs.
"I'm not that stupid, it's just-"
"Opal, people already saw us making out. Might as well do the other shit couples do." I bite my lip.
"So, we're a couple now?" Art shrugs.
"It's all up to you." I swallow hard.
"Do you want to?"
"Doesn't matter to me." I sigh.
"Art."
"I'm not into the mushy shit Opal."
"It's not mushy." Art groans.
"Opal just agree to date me already!" He yells and I can't help but laugh. A few students are looking over at us with shocked expressions. "What are you guys looking at? It's my business." As he says that, everyone looks away and I laugh again. I walk to him and kiss him lightly.
"I agree to your terms and conditions."
"Fucking nerd." He says with a smile as he grabs my hand and we walk to class.
"I'm not a weirdo anymore?"
"No, you're that too." I roll my eyes as we walk to class hand in hand. I can't help but feel a blush rise to my cheeks as we walk together, holding hands... We're... Dating... And I don't think I could be any happier.
