Samira Braunx Alliastar's POV

"Can I see her?" I asked.

"No."

"Why? Gusto ko lang makita ang kaagaw ko ng atensyon sa'yo," mahinang sambit ko.

"I'm sorry, but, no."

"Fine," I sighed, "Then, can you at least tell me what her medical condition is?"

She hummed and took a deep breath, "She hasn't gone through a check-up yet."

I frowned, "Why?"

"She's afraid..."

I raised a brow urging her to talk more, "She's afraid it might be cancerous."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko.

"C-Cancerous?" I stuttered.

"Yes."

"Are you, at some point, telling me that she might be gone if she don't get treated?"

She nodded.

"Then, let me meet her," I captured her hand, "So I can convince her."

"How do you think can you convince her if she's holding on to me?" tinignan niya ako sa mata, "Do you think that if she happens to hear that I will eventually come back to you, she would be motivated to live longer?"

I never realized that.

"Who is she?"

"I can't tell you."

"Is she that important to you that you're just disregarding me?"

Silence.

I grabbed my bag so I could get my phone. Mabilis kong binuksan ang flashlight nito saka tumayo.

"Where are you going?" she asked and immediately followed me.

"It's none of your business. Wala ka rin namang pakialam sa'kin."

"Don't say that," she said coldly.

"See? You're even cold with me."

She sighed deeply. I just ignored it. Wala na rin naman siyang sinabi.

Binuksan ko na ang pinto para lumabas.

I need to get away from here. I need to get away from her.

I locked it when she stepped out and then I quickly marched through the stairs.

I almost tripped even though I'm using a flashlight because my body shook when I heard a loud thunder.

Hindi pa rin tumitila ang ulan.

Out of some luck, the lights went back. Finally!

I was about to soak myself in the rain when a hand stopped me.

"L-Let's... Let's talk please?" her voice cracked.

Lumingon kaagad ako sa likod para lang makita siyang nagpupunas ng luha. But my pain almost seemed to have numbed me.

"Damn you," I whispered, "Damn you, Aranea Cambreigh!"

Her grip on me tightened.

"You came in the most unexpected time. You came right when I'm literally stuck in the dark to make me feel that I'm not fvcking alone. Pero para lang pala isampal sa'kin na mayroon ka ng iba!"
