CHAPTER 15

"What happened?" Kreiza asked while we were on our way to the resort.

"She broke up with me." I said coldly.

Everyone stopped talking and eating to look at me.

"Why?"

"I don't know."

"May I ask?"

I only hummed as a response.

"How did you two got together?"

"We kissed. And then suddenly, I'm not single anymore."

Hindi na nasundan pa ang usapang 'yon. Basta nakita ko nalang ang sarili kong nalulunod sa alak kasama ang mga kaibigan.

Only one managed to stay up with me. The sun was almost rising but she never let drowsiness beat her.

I held my deeply heaving chest.

Ang bigat.

Masakit.

I took a deep breathe... and as I close my eyes, tears started pouring like raindrops on a dark and heavy cloud.

I smiled weakly when I felt Trina's arms surrounding my fragile body. She made me lean against her chest and then she whispered...

"I'm here. Cry it out."

As if on cue, I started sobbing uncontrollably.

I formed my hand into fist and then I started punching my chest lightly.

"Masakit." I whispered. "Trina..."

I bumped my chest, "Dito."

I felt her heaved a deep sigh.

"B-Bakit ang dali?" nauutal kong tanong, "Bakit ang dali sa kaniyang iwanan a-ako?! Bakit ang dali sa kaniyang sabihin na makikipag-hiwalay na siya?"

She gulped, "H-Hindi mo ba tinanong?"

She's crying...

"I did."

"Anong sabi?"

"She hung up on me."

Lumayo ako sa yakap niya at sumandal nalang saka tumingin sa taas.

Hinayaan kong mag-landas ang mga luha sa pisngi ko.

"I called her again." kuwento ko, "She dropped the call and then I received a message."

Nilingon ko siya kaya mabilis niya ring pinahid ang pisngi niya. Maliit na ngumiti lamang ako. Pagtingin niya sa'kin ay wala ng emosyon ang mga mata niya.

"Anong sabi niya?"

I looked up to the sky again as I remember her last message.

"Don't bother me anymore."

"You two just met. Your relationship didn't even lasted for a month, how come you are this affected? You were never like this, Samira."

"I don't know." I sighed, "She just hits different." I looked at her, "I even pictured her as my wife."

She tilted her head to the side and looked at me intently, "Then message her."

"She blocked me."

Natahimik siya saglit.

"Tapang mo pang magsabi na maghahanap ka ng iba," she smirked, "Tapos iiyak-iyak ka diyan."

I quickly looked at her with a frown, I opened my mouth for a rebuttal but no word came out of my mouth making her laugh hard at me.

"It's a good shit I know you," tumingin siya sa taas, "Don't you think?" mayabang na tanong niya.

I just rolled my eyes as a response then I looked up as well.

Dapat ay sa bar kami mag-iinum dahil 'yon ang gusto ng iba naming kaibigan pero umayaw siya. Dahilan nila ay para maka-hanap nga ako ng iba pero hindi pumayag ang bruha.

She knows I didn't meant what I said.

Alam niyang gusto kong mapag-isa kasama sila. Alam niyang iiyak ako. At alam niyang ayaw kong makita 'yon ng iba.

WEEKS had passed and all that I did was drank in a bar at night, beat myself up during midnight and sleep while the sun is out.
