How do you quiet your mind?

It's already 3 in the morning.

I'm staring blankly at the ceiling. I couldn't bring myself to sleep again.

Walang mapag-lagyan ang nga bagay-bagay sa aking isipan.

I looked at my right hand with the dextrose on.

It was being held gently by Trina.

I couldn't move so I just stared at her peaceful face for a while.

This woman almost made the hospital her house. Dito na halos tumira.

Hindi na rin siya pumasok.

Actually, nitong nakaraan ko lang din nalaman na silang lahat pala. They all resigned.

Because daw of our fvcked up Headmaster.

A lot of things have happened already actually. I just can't sum them all up because of plenty of things occupying my mind right now.

I felt kinda hungry.

I felt bored as well.

I looked at the bedside table on my left.

Hindi ko maabot talaga ng hindi gumagalaw.

Pero gusto kong mag-scroll...

I looked at Trina and shook my head.

Pero gusto ko ring kumain...

I sighed before deciding that I'll really reach for my phone.

So I moved. Slowly. Really slowly.

I smiled when I got it.

I successfully got it. But I failed to keep Trina asleep.

Nangungunat na siya at nag-kukusot ng mata.

Cute ng babaita.

"What?" she whispered, her voice raspy.

I just showed her my phone.

Kaya ayaw kong gumalaw, dahil konting kibot ko lang ay nagigising siya kaagad.

"Hindi ka na naman ba maka-tulog?"

"Yeah..."

"Gutom ka ba?" she asked again.

I shook my head.

She tilted hers to the side.

"Are you lying, Samira?"

"N–" I bit my lower lip when my stomach spoke for me.

Making her giggle.

I panicked a bit when she started tying her hair into a messy ponytail.

"I'll cook."

I grabbed her hand before she could even walk somewhere.

"I'll have fruits nalang."

I actually want the kind of breakfast she cooks...

"No. I know what you want."

I raised a brow, "Ba't ba mas marunong ka pa?"

She just shrugged.

"Your favorite series just released an update," she then said while she started cooking.

Yup! She's got her own kitchen in my private room.

"What?! Kailan pa?" tanong ko habang nagmamadali nang mag-browse.

"Kanina lang."

"You didn't tell me??"

"Tulog ka."

"Kahit na..." humina ang boses ko dahil naka-lingon na siya at masama ang tingin sa'kin.

"Minsan ka lang maka-tulog, bruha ka."

I pursed my lips.

"Now shut the fvck up. Manood ka nalang while waiting for me to finish."

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever."

"Spoil kita diyan eh."

"Nye nye nye," I teased before I focused on watching.

OBVIOUSLY, I already have a fvcked up body clock.

Pero palaging ganiyan si Trina.

Lalo kapag madaling araw at naramdaman niyang nagigising ako. O hindi maka-tulog.

Gumigising siya at inaalagaan nalang ako.

I remember one time. Naalimpungatan siya dahil tahimik akong humihikbi. Naka-hawak na ako sa bandang dibdib ko dahil hindi na ako maka-hinga ng ayos. She gathered and locked me in her arms. Her hold was so tight and warm that I eventually forgot I was crying because I dreamt of being in the situation where I was being s harassed.

May kama na rin kasi siya dito sa loob. Noong oras na 'yon ay doon nga siya naka-tulog kaya medyo natagalan bago niya ako naasikaso. Kaya mag-mula noon, dito na siya sa tabi ko natutulog. Minsan sa upuan at naka-dukmo sa kama ko. Pero madalas ay sa kama ko rin siya mismo nakikihiga.

During daytime, it is when our other friends would arrive. That would be Trina's time to sleep in her bed. Panatag na kasi siya na may nagbabantay na sa'kin.

Her body clock is just as fvcked up as mine.

TINIGNAN ko siya dahil naaamoy ko na ang sinangag. She was now frying the egg. May naka-prepare na rin na bacon sa gilid at instant pancit canton.

I just drooled then proceeded to watch again while waiting enthusiastically.

I'm still so lucky.
