It was disappointing that we lost the battle against Leap Clan. It honestly was a waste of time since all it did was hurt our Warriors, made Leap Clan mad and well, since we launched it and we lost, that's like, umm, REALLY embarrassing. One thing I noticed during the fight was Luna... she just kept hiding. It was weird, almost like her loyalty was with Leap Clan. I wanna ask her but she'll probably say no way. I've been questioning her for quite awhile now though, so maybe it's time I toughen up and ask her. Okay, I guess I should ask her... but maybe at nightfall... or... tomorrow... or never. Ugh... alright, I must.
I slowly dragged my feet to Luna, who was standing, just looking around... somewhat suspicious.
Oh boy, what am I thinking. I need to stop assuming and just ask. But what if I'm right... what would I do, who will I tell... or will I tell. I sighed. Well here goes nothing...
"Hi Luna..." I fretted.
"Hi?" Luna said questioningly, which I knew she would for I had to have sounded so stupid.
"So, I saw when we were fighting with Leap Clan you kept hiding... like you didn't want to... " I stuttered, scared she'd get mad.
She stared at me, her jaw dropping, her eye filling with anger and disappointment.
"OF COURSE I WANTED TO, THIS IS MY CLAN!" she screamed, anger evident in her tone.
"I'm sorry I..." I stopped speaking; for she wasn't listening. She was walking away to the dog Warriors den. Everyone who was in the camp at the time was staring at me and Luna, and I could feel my eyes start to water.
I raced across the camp into the dark woods, away from everyone, slamming myself into a large oak tree and slowly slumping to the ground. Tears flowed out of my eyes.
Why did I do that? now I probably lost my best friend.
I was so upset, and I regretted doing that so much...
Why? Just why did I do that?
My eyelids started to feel heavy, and I knew I should go back to camp, but my legs didn't agree and I ended up drifting into sleep.
"You... this is because of you," Luna said maliciously. She had me pinned on the ground, and I was in some forest... not Power Clan territory, but I think Leap Clan!
"NO! Luna, please!" I whined.
"This is only because of you," she snarled, opening her jaws wide so I could see all her dagger-like teeth...
I awake with a jolt, my heart pounding. I closed my eyes help calm myself, and when I opened them again I was calm, realizing it was only another silly dream.
The sun was nice on my fur, warmth flowing through me, but I had to get up and go.
I caught the scent of an older rat. I followed it and saw it running around. It was actually pretty slow, but then again it smelt like an old fella. I felt generous and was gonna leave it, but I decided not to because I getting pretty hungry.
I took a slow step forward, putting my stomach to the ground.
The rat crawled on a log and put its nose to the air. I knew It was time to act, or else It would smell me and run away.
I pounced on the rat, bashing it to the ground, off the log it was on. It struggled for a bit then I ripped at its neck and its little body went limp.
I proudly carried my prize back to the camp.
Frozenfire, Atlas, Maya and Dirtclaw all came running when I came into their sight, along with all seven kits and one pup bounding after.
The kids started just throwing question at me, like 'where were you' and 'what did you do' and 'did you get hurt,' but they all fell silent when Griffara stalked up from behind them. She looked somewhat mad and somewhat concerned.
"Hello Alena, it's nice to know you're back safe. You know you're not supposed to sleep outside of the camp."
I looked down to the ground, knowing I was in trouble.
All the children walked away giggling. Dirtclaw, Maya and Atlas also left, but Frozenfire stayed glaring at me.
"Next time make sure you come back before you fall asleep," Griffara scolded, sounding quite calm surprisingly.
I apologized to Griffa and dragged my feet to the Warriors Den to eat my rat. Luna was in there, so I instead ate my rat outside, under the nearest tree so I could be in the shade.
I enjoy saving the biggest bones off prey to chew on later since prey will soon be scarce, so I've started a collection of them in the woods. I bury them beside an old evergreen tree, with needles that cascade off it like rain in the slightest wind.
I ended up not saving any bones to put in my collection, also I'm too lazy, but that's besides the point.
As I slowly got up off the ground, I decided to take the children out to the woods so I can see their hunting skills.
"Kids! Do you wanna go hunting?" I yelled into the nursery.
"Yeah!" they all screamed running towards me as fast as they could.
"But Amber, Ash, Slashear and Runningriver already went out hunting with OJ" Embertail stated.
"Ok that's fine, I will just take the rest of you," I rejoiced, super happy I did not have to take Ash.
"Yeah! Then let's go!" Embertail cheered.
