YALL IM UPDATING TWICE TONIGHT TO KEEP YALL ON YOUR TOES
Cheryl and Toni were still sitting in the cafe, neither of them paying attention to how much time was passing. "How old are you?" Cheryl asked the shorter girl in front of her. "19, you?" She responded, guessing that the redhead was older than she thought so her heart started to race. "Just turned 20 last week." Those words made Toni relax and almost sigh in relief. It was her turn to ask a question. She kept asking herself if she'd met this beautiful woman before. She was certain she had but she had probably got it all wrong. "Where did you grow up?" She asked, instantly realising how personal that question was but Cheryl didn't hesitate to answer. "A small town around an hour drive away from here." That response sounded all too familiar to Toni, "I grew up somewhere called Riverdale. I doubt you know it." she said looking down at the table. Cheryl smiled and Toni smiled back. "Hmm you'd be surprised. I actually grew up in Riverdale as well. I knew I recognised you." The redhead spoke. Toni's heart skipped a beat. "No way!" Toni said in utter shock and disbelief. All the pieces were coming together. "Yeah," Cheryl laughed. "But I was quite different when I was a teenager." She continued to say and her cheeks went red. Toni knew what she meant but tried to play it cool like she didn't know what Cheryl was talking about. "What do you mean?" Toni asked, knowing the answer. She just thought it would be adorable to hear her say it out loud. Cheryl blushed once again, "Well, I used to wear glasses and my hair was in plaits almost every day." This image of Cheryl was all too familiar to Toni, not that she was complaining of course. The nerd that Cheryl was back in high school, was actually quite attractive to her. "There was a really quiet girl in my English class in Junior Year but I was too chicken to talk to her." Toni admitted sheepishly. Cheryl looked at the brunette, "Hmm think of her last name." Cheryl suggested. Toni thought for a moment, "Bl- oh my god, it was you!" Toni half shouted. Cheryl smiled and Toni found that smile the most beautiful thing in the world. It was so genuine and not forced whatsoever. "Would you believe me if I said I had a massive crush on you." Cheryl confessed. This was almost too surreal for Toni and she was in complete disbelief. "No fucking way! Your standards must be higher than that!" Toni spoke loudly and rolled her eyes, giggling. Cheryl gasped softly at Toni's playful insult, pretending to be offended. "My standards are very high, thank you very much." Cheryl said just as loudly as Toni. Toni giggled, "They can't be high if you have crushed on a Topaz." Toni insulted herself. It made Cheryl sad to hear Toni talking about herself in this way. "Have you ever looked in the mirror?" Cheryl asked but Toni was refusing to answer it. "Hmm have you?" Toni asked right back, to which Cheryl nodded. "Yes." She responded. Toni decided it was time to admit the feelings she also felt for the redhead. "Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't find you attractive." Toni confessed. Cheryl blushed for what must be the tenth time this evening. "Thank you, I really appreciate it." Cheryl smiled. Toni smiled back, "Question. How do I tell my boyfriend I don't like him?" The truth was she had never fully loved Fangs. Her primary reason for being with him was because she was certain she'd never get a chance to date Cheryl. The redhead's eyes widened slightly. "Damn, that bad, huh," Cheryl giggled. "Well he's out right now but I lost feelings for him ages ago. He's just not my type." She admitted. "I'd just tell him. You never know. He may wanna stay friends with you." Cheryl advised Toni. "I hope so," She half smiled. "Wait, do you remember Fangs Fogarty?" She asked Cheryl. She nodded. "Of course, yeah, he was in the serpents with you." It was almost impossible for Cheryl to forget the Serpents because they bullied her pretty much every day for the smallest of things. However, as far as Cheryl could remember, Toni never got involved with her friends' stupid antics. That's one of the many reasons she liked the brunette. "That's my boyfriend." Toni told Cheryl. The statement kind of surprised Cheryl because she never anticipated that Toni would date a greaser like Fangs Fogarty but here they are. "I'm here to keep the Serpents strong." Toni added and Cheryl nodded. "Hmm sounds interesting," Cheryl said, still looking at the brunette.
