The next day, Toni was getting ready to start her Cafe concert that she did every Saturday night. She was nervous because Cheryl was supposed to turn up but she hadn't arrived yet and she was going to start soon. "Ladies and gentlemen, my best friend, Toni Topaz!" Fangs called her out and she walked out to the microphone. The audience cheered but still no sight of Cheryl which made her nerves a lot worse. "Hey guys. Oh wow, there are a lot of new faces tonight. I guess I'll just get started with my personal favourite song, Dog Days are Over by Florence and the Machine," The brunette spoke into the microphone and the music started. Toni got through the whole song and Cheryl still hadn't arrived. This was tugging at her heartstrings more and more. "I'm just going to take a 5 minute water break then I'll be back," She said and went to Fangs who was on music control. "She hasn't arrived, Fangs," Toni said with sadness in her voice. The brunette was counting on Cheryl tonight. They were going on a date after this. "Sing your next song and I'm sure she'll turn up," He suggested and that's exactly what Toni did. She went back out there and stood behind the microphone again. "Find someone to hold onto guys because this is about to get hella romantic," She said as the lights went dim and A Thousand Years by Christina Perri started playing. As soon as Toni started singing someone walked in wearing a beanie that hid their hair and sunglasses that hid their eyes. She recognised the person straight away. It was Cheryl. All of a sudden Toni felt a rush of confidence through her body and her singing got stronger. "Oh my god she's amazing," Cheryl said to herself, smiling. "You know her?" A man stood next to the redhead asked. Cheryl nodded in response while watching Toni in adoration. Cheryl cheered loudly when the song finished. Toni winked to the redhead which made her blush and another song started but half way through, Cheryl picked up a phone call and walked outside the cafe. Toni kept singing and felt confused but when the song finished, the redhead hung up the phone and went back to signal for Toni to go to her.
Toni made her way to the redhead and kissed her. "Hi," The brunette said with a smile and the taller girl smiled back. "Hey, beautiful. That was my stylist and she wants us to start getting ready like now." Cheryl said with a slight panic to her tone. Toni was confused because she forgot about Cheryl's plans for this evening. "Us? What do you mean?" The brunette asked, furrowing her eyebrows. Cheryl sighed realising that Toni had forgotten. "Yeah, I told you that I was going to take you to a movie premiere tonight," The taller girl reminded Toni. This made Toni panic a little. She never wore formal clothes because she never attended formal events so she didn't have a suit or anything in her closet at home. "I have literally got nothing to wear," The brunette panicked and Cheryl took her hands then looked at her. "Do not worry, T. They have a range of different styles and colours to suit." The redhead spoke in an attempt to bring Toni to a calmer headspace and it worked. Toni took a deep breath and said, "Okay." Then she went over to Fangs to tell him she was leaving early. "What? Why?" He asked like he was counting on Toni to finish her shift. A massive smile appeared on her face. "I'm going on a date," She spoke excitedly and Fangs told her to have fun.
Cheryl and Toni left the cafe and made their way to Cheryl's red 1960's Chevrolet Impala convertible and the redhead opened the door for Toni in a 'be a gentleman' kind of way. Toni smiled at the taller woman, "Why thank you," She said with a smile before getting in the convertible and Cheryl closed the door for her then got in herself.

Cheryl drove up to the upper east side of New York and it's fair to say that Toni couldn't keep her eyes off the redhead. Cheryl looked at the brunette, "What is it?" She asked and Toni shook her head. "Nothing, well it's just that you're so beautiful," The brunette complimented the redhead, still looking at her. This comment caused Cheryl to blush, "I- so are you," She stuttered. Cheryl never stuttered as much as this as she was used to being confident and strong because paparazzi followed her everywhere.
