I'm disappointed in how long it took me to actually write again, luckily summers coming up so I should have lots of time to write! Anyway, here's chapter 8 of Stolen Heart! Enjoy!

Mina's POV

Finishing, I took a tiny step back, pressing my whole palm on the cool brick. Instead of being solid, the wall became a mist, separating itself to allow a passage through. Without hesitation, I adjusted my hold on the girl and stepped through the wall.

Mina's POV

I landed near the hideout, a grove of trees surrounding me on either side. The girl muttered some incomprehensible mumbles and began to shiver but stayed asleep as I reached the base of the tree.

I placed the girl on the ground and began to chant a spell. After a moment, the air around me shifted slightly, noticeable only if the person knew what to look for. Smiling, I pulled out a rope, tying our arms together before tapping the girls forehead twice. She began to float in an awkward position, but it still made it easier to climb the ladder. Soon, I was standing in front of the doorway, the girl still floating next to me. Tapping her on the forehead twice, she began to slowly settle back on the ground next to me. I stooped down to pick her up, hauling her over my shoulder before being scanned.

"Welcome Mina," the robotic voice rang out before a harsher sound, "uninvited person detected, initiating alarms in 3...2."

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah yeah," before shutting off the alarm and moving into the room.

"Where have you been?" came a voice from the corner, making me jump before realizing it was Shiggy.

I grinned, "Oh, ya know, painting, stealing, saving random girls who fall unconscious for no reason."

He sighed, "You do realize the danger you've put all of us in by bringing her here? Why not just leave her to be found for someone less... idk, criminal?"

Rolling my eyes, I scoffed, "As if I paint in populated places. No one would have found her."

"Fine, bring her to one of the spare rooms, but you better keep an eye on her."

"Ok!" I said, as I walked past him, down the stairs into the vast hallway lined with doors.

I stopped at the door labeled room 47, unlocking it and pushing open the door with the hand not securing the girl.

Carefully setting the girl on the bed, I turned on the light that flickered in protest but remained on. The room was scarcely furnished, I stood next to a small bed tucked in the corner, now occupied by the girl, and an empty desk and chair next to it was all the room contained. Dust clouded the room, making it difficult to breathe and after a moment, I stood, muttering a spell before moving my hands as a broom appeared in my hand with a pop.

I set to work, sweeping the floor until all the dust was in one place, snapping my finger, the broom turned into a dustpan, sweeping the dust up by itself. Snapping again, a pot of flowers appeared on the desk, filling the room with a sweet aroma. I smiled, it wasn't much but the room looked a lot more welcoming.

A knock at the open door startled me and I spun around, "Wow, this place looks better than my room," said Himiko, who stood in the doorway wearing a short skirt and a tank top.

Shrugging I replied, "Well, considering we have a guest," I gestured to the girl, "I figured the room had to have breathable air."

She laughed, "Yeah, Shiggy told me we have a guest," she stepped closer, surveying the girl, her eyes widening when she saw the girl's face, a hint of recognition in her eyes.

"You know her?" I asked, a million questions forming in my mind.

Himiko stayed quiet, her eyes not moving from the sleeping girl's face. Finally she spoke again, "Not sure, I feel like I've seen her before, but I've seen a lot of people. I probably stole from her," I could tell it was more than that, but I didn't ask for more.

Himiko laughed uncomfortably, "anyway, I better go see if Seros back," and with that, she left.

The girl stirred, her eyes opening slightly into a squint, her eyes moving quickly to take in her surroundings. She tried to sit up but after a moment, it seemed she was too weak to.
