~Chapter Fifteen~

And we're back! I did keep my word that time... Anyways, todays chapter will probably be shorter than expected since I've been traveling all day and am kinda tired.

Sero stepped out from the darkness of the trees, "If you don't mind, i'll be taking the girl."

The closest guard made an attempt to recapture Himiko but she danced out of his reach, giggling, "too slow."

She made her way over to Hanta. One of the guards moved forward but paused when the black-haired thief aimed his gun at the passed out royals head, "Move again and I will shoot." 

Stooping down, Sero heaved Todoroki up, pressing the gun against his forehead as he slowly backed up. The blonde followed his movements, the guards not daring to step forward. Finally, they made it to the safety of the trees. Hanta flicked his boyfriends nose and adjusted him so he was carrying the other bridal style, "good acting there, princess."

Opening his eyes, the other man stuck out his tongue, "that's the last time I ever help you with these things."

Chuckling, Sero grinned, "that's what you said last time."

The two kissed and Toga cleared her throat, "I hate to... interrupt... But maybe we should, idk, go back to the hideout before they send an army after us?"

The three slowly made their way back to the hideout, where they were met with a squealing Mina who wrapped her arms around Himiko in a tight embrace, "don't ever scare me like that again."

"I'll try not to, but danger just seems to follow me. It's like the plague or a dirty conscience." 

"Or you," Dabi muttered from the corner, where Toga could've sworn, he hadn't been before. 

"Oh be nice," Mina said, shushing him.

The taller man turned away, grumbling something under his breath before disappearing down the stairs. 

"Whats up with him?" the blonde asked.

Sighing, the pink haired girl shrugged, "I think he was just as worried as I was. Someone of us, just have different ways of showing it, I suppose."  

"Anyways," Ashido beamed, "Is the princess your girlfriend? Should I expect her to start making frequent appearances? I've always wanted grandchildren. Tell me everything!"

"Grandchildren? I'm literally older than you."

"Oh shush, that's irrelevant. Now spill, I need something interesting in my life, do you know how boring the guys are?"

Frowning, the blonde pondered the right words, "Actually, nothing happened between us."

"Excuse me?"

"We were just kinda friends. Plus, I don't think she was too thrilled to find out I was a known criminal..."

Except for looking displeased, Mina seemed relieved, "Oh that's wonderful to hear. I mean, not the part where she's angry with you, but just that the whole thing didn't fall apart completely. There is still hope after all!"  

The pink-haired girl grabbed the others hand and led her down the stairs, "here, we'll plan something to show her how sorry you are." 

~Later that night~

Ochako sat on her bed, looking out the window. Tsuyu had come in earlier to clean the secret room out so the room looked completely empty and unused. 

"It's for the best," she'd said, before she left. 

The princess knew that, but still, her day felt boring without the blonde to distract her. She'd given up on feeling angry. Who would she be angry at anyway? Himiko? She couldn't have told Uraraka who she was, even if she wanted to. Her father? He was only doing his job and thought he was keeping her safe. Herself? She hadn't known anything about her previous roommate being a criminal. 

She expected to hear news about the execution any day now, no doubt she'd be forced to attend. Just thinking about it made her sick to her stomach. No matter how bad she was, Himiko didn't deserve this. 

A tapping jolted Ochako out of her thoughts as she looked around, trying to decide where the noise was coming from. 

The tap sounded again and her eyes landed on the window, eyes widening when she saw Himiko, perched there, grinning.

Wow, that was a longer chapter than expected! Anyways, I'm going to try to write at least a little bit of a new chapter everyday for the next few weeks so hopefully expect a bunch of new chapters to post! 

I'm kinda out of good questions so if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to comment!
