The second day, though no foreign substances were entered into Himikos body, was the worst. Guards took turns using different means of torture on the blonde, not enough to kill her, but enough to likely leave permanent scars.

Val seemed to enjoy beating her, hearing the sound of her bones as they were broken. He didn't stop until his knuckles were bruised and Toga was unconscious.

Side effects from the previous drugs also took a toll on Togas body, vomiting, weakness in limbs, twitching, hot flashes, cold flashes, etc. It seemed that every symptom listed in a medical textbook, occurred at least once that day.

At last, everything ceased. Thankfully, one of the kinder guard provided the blonde a bucket of water, a clean towel, and new bandages to clean her wounds, which consumed most of her remaining time.

~Meanwhile~

Ochako paced her room, news of Himikos capture had reached her later than she'd liked. The date for the execution was set in stone, no matter how much pleading she did, her father wouldn't budge. She hoped, perhaps he'd allow at least one of her requests.

A knock sounded at her door and Tsuyu peaked her head in, "the king and queen are waiting for you in the kings study."

"Perfect, thank you," the two left, walking next to each other until their different jobs forced them to part.

Making her way to the chamber, the princesses heart beat loudly in her chest, anxiety filling her body.

Uraraka stopped at the grand door that led to her fathers study and knocked. The door soon opened and she was ushered inside.

The room was filled with dark wood shelves, containing books of every topic imaginable. Candles were lit, providing rich scents that could easily overwhelm. A desk similar in look to the shelves sat near the far wall, three velvet chairs set up around it, two for guests, one for the king.

"I was told you wished to speak with us," the king said, sitting in his chair, the queen standing behind him, an arm placed on the seat, silent.

Bowing, Ochako nodded, "yes your highness, I was hoping you could grant me a simple request."

"And what would that request be?"

Inhaling deeply, the princess replied, "I would like to be allowed to speak with the recent prisoner, the girl you plan to execute."

The king raised an eyebrow, "And why is that?"

"Because I feel there are somethings that need to be made clear between the two of us," She continued, "Plus, if she's going to be executed in a few days, i'd like to at least be able to say goodbye."

Frowning, the king sighed, "you really like this girl don't you."

It wasn't a question, the king knew the answer already but Uraraka murmured, "I suppose I do."

"I guess it won't hurt to accept the request, I see no need to stop you from doing this. You have my permission, i'll talk to the guards about escorting you to the prison. Does tomorrow work?"

Ochako smiled, "I'll clear my schedule."

Just a few more chapters! Anyways, how's everyone feeling about the book so far? I'm always open to constructive criticism, as long as it's polite.

Q: Do you like kids and do you get along with them?

A: Sure, I love kids, just don't want any of my own. The only kids I don't like are the ones who need an ego check, those are the worst, but otherwise, I can get along pretty nicely with almost all small gremlins.
