I was hoping to post another chapter back to back, but life happened so here's chapter 11.

Nodding, we both left the room, closing the bookshelf back as if nothing had ever happened

Uraraka's POV

I slept as well as you can expect considering the eventful night i'd had last night. In other words, I slept horrible.

I grew impatient as more stuff came up, perks of being royalty. First I had dinner with the family, my least favorite part of the day, then Aoyama needed to work on their portrait of me for god knows what, and finally, another suitor.

The girl was still sleeping when I opened the bookshelf in the afternoon. Tsuyu had come in sometime that day to change the bandages, and the girls breathing was more leveled. Her hair was in desperate need of brushing and her original clothes were still covered in blood, but she looked a lot better. It was difficult thinking of her as the same girl I saw at Mina's, who then looked intimidating but now looked peaceful and almost vulnerable.

Deciding it'd be best if I stayed by her side in case she woke up, I made myself comfortable. I sat across from her, my back against the wall, with a book, glancing up every once in awhile to check if she was ok.

Eventually, I must have fallen asleep, because when I woke up, the bookshelf door was left ajar and the girl was nowhere to be found.

Toga's POV

It was NOT part of the plan for me to almost die. It was also NOT part of the plan for me to be locked in a strange secret room that smelled older than Shiggys chap stick. It was, however, part of the plan to get the princesses attention, which I did.

The princess must have been a pretty deep sleeper because I came up with some new colorful curses as I searched for the way out of the room that were far from quiet. I knew I should've stayed in one place, and my whole body felt drained, but I figured it'd be more action than the princess was used to. So we'll go with the option that I was playing hero, and not getting claustrophobic.

Anyway, after what felt like ages, I finally burst out of the room, thanking the gods it didn't open into a hallway filled to the brim with guards. Instead, it opened into what must've been the princesses room, bigger than my whole tree house and far fancier than anything i'd encountered, except of course the ballroom.

Peaking out the door and finding it safe, I fled, hoping to find a place to hide until I was prepared to continue the plan.

Uraraka's POV

The castle was way too big for me to search by myself, but I couldn't bother Tsuyu since she was likely working with the queen and no one else knew about my little secret, so I had to fly solo.

After not finding a sign of her in my room, I expanded my search. Luckily, one of her wound must've opened because I started to find small traces of blood along the walls, not enough to be noticed by the maid or guards, but enough to help my scavenger hunt.

I found her in the closet of one of the spare rooms, nestled in between a stack of blankets. She grinned when I opened the door, light pouring in through the window, making her squint as she looked up at me. Hopping out, she stretched, "Took you long enough."

Frowning, I replied, "You could've just waited until I woke up? You shouldn't be going on adventures with those injuries."

"What else was I supposed to do, leave them behind?" She laughed, then fell into a coughing fit, blood splattering on the floor, "that was a mistake."

I sighed, "It's fine, i'll have one of the maids clean it up later. But we should get you back to the room before anyone sees you. You probably tore one of your stitches."

We successfully made it back to my room with no run ins, Toga nearly passing out with each step.

When we opened the door, Asui stood over my bed, folding clothes. Without looking back, she greeted us, "about time."

"Sorry, Toga here decided to send me on a little chase."

"Toga? Is that the name of the girl that almost died last night? The one behind you," Asui asked, still not looking back, "I can smell the blood from here, she really needs a bath."

"Hey!" Toga protested.

The green haired girl turned, eyeing Toga's wounds, "I'll draw a bath and then I'll check her stitches, change the bandages and get her a less... erm, bloody set of clothes."

Toga's POV

I couldn't help but smile when I looked at myself in the mirror after allowing myself to be properly cleaned.

The bath had been better than one i'd ever taken in my life, my bandages were changed, and I wore a simple light yellow dress, free of blood and grime. Even my hair had been brushed, all the knots carefully removed so it looked less like I'd just crawled out of bed.

But of course, the princess forced me to lie back down, and save my energy in the secret room so my wounds could heal.

"Don't worry, you'll be safe here, but now, I must ask you to explain to me exactly what happened." The princess said, her eyes full of worry.
