it was graduation day. y/n and bahiyyih were there extra early because they were helping with the set up. a few other students were there already as well since they were also helping with the set up or they were on the grad committee.

y/n left her things in her locker. it was basically empty at this point, with just a few papers for grad reminders and just in case items.

as she closed her locker, a sophomore came running up to her.

"y/n! we need your help.." he sheepishly told her in english. it was one of the tenth grade transfer students.

"hm? what's up, kevin?" y/n asked, turning around to face the boy.

"eric is having trouble with the helium machine and jacob ran towards the kitchen..." kevin told her, scratching the back of his neck.

y/n laughed, a smile appearing as she did so.

"okay then. lead the way, kevin!" she laughed, following behind the shorter student (y/n do be tall 🤭).

kevin brought her to the big prep room where they were preparing some of the decorations. they would be moving them to the gym at 7:30 since things were still being set up there.

"okay. eric, what's the problem?" she asked as soon as she walked into the room. eric, another sophomore transfer student, looked up at her.

"y/n, the helium tank isn't working right now." he told her, a big frown on his face. y/n twisted the knob on the tank and the balloon started blowing up. she deadpanned at the student.

"eric, you just forgot to open the nozzle." she blinked at him. eric blinked back before looking down at the floor, embarrassed.

"sorry.." eric apologized, his english slipping out.

"it's fine. I'll go find jacob now, alright? if you guys need anymore help, just text or call me." she said, shaking her head. the students in the room nodded and with that, she ventured off to the cafeteria.

as soon as she entered the large food area, she spotted jacob. he was standing with a bunch of the culinary and cooking students, helping them make the food for the grad.

"jacob? canadian number three? what are you doing here?" y/n asked, walking up to said boy.

jacob was another transfer student but instead of being a sophomore, he was a junior.

"huh? oh, hi y/n! I'm helping these people with the food." he replied simply, rolling up whatever he was making.

"cob, I thought you're supposed to be helping the decor team? why are you with the culinary team?" y/n asked, walking closer to the table he was working at.

"I got bored and hungry. eunchae said that if I helped with making the food and stuff, she'd let me have a few." jacob shamelessly admitted, looking up at the older girl.

"oh. okay then, I guess. has any of the teachers told you anything about helping yet?" y/n asked, looking at the student beside her.

"awww, leo, you look so cute today." y/n said, putting a hand on his covered head and rubbing it. said student smiled at the girl.

"thank you! you look pretty as well, and I'm sure that you'll look amazing in the grad outfit." he complimented back, a tiny blush creeping up his cheeks.

"no, mr. jeong saw me earlier and didn't say a word except to put on proper equipment." jacob shrugged.

"oh okay. I'll call you back to the prep room if we need any more help then, alright?" y/n told him and he nodded.
